DenisO
I watched some of the Reisinger Final yesterday. Player names were changing during the event - every three boards I think - yet on the .lin file I've saved to hard disk there is only one set of players for all 27 boards. Can this be improved for future events of this type? - we also get this problem with pairs events eg the Cavendish. Denis
Deanrover
This problem has existed since time immemorial. It is very likely one of those "very simple" changes that are a programming nightmare to implement. Would be nice though.
mrdct
The only way to avoid this would be for the broadcast to be terminated after the end of each 3-board round and the operator reloading the next three boards and starting a new show every 27 minutes. To do it properly, the hand data file would also need to be split into 9 3-board files which is a fair bit of fiddling around.
DenisO
Rrather than fiddling around with files, I was hoping that the software could be improved. I think its been on the "to do" list for some time but not high priority. However it would be nice if something could be done for the next Cavendish :P

Our broadcasts from the Hecht Cup in Denmark and the Norwegian Summer Festival will also suffer as long as the system works as it does not. The Grand Tournament in Bergen, Norway, in late January operates with the same format, but I will obviously understand that this can't be implemented with such a short notice. fred
Sorry we have not had a chance to make the necessary software changes in this area. I discussed it with Uday today and, although this is indeed more complex than you might think, we will try to bump this up in our list of priorities.
