Winstonm
[hv=d=e&v=n&s=s84haqdaj42cakq104]133|100|Scoring: IMPE S W N1N X 2♥P2♠ 2N 3♠4♦P 5♦ P PP[/hv] This was our bidding. The opening was 15-17. The double was penalty, showing a hand that held a good suit and was likely to beat 1N if on lead. 2H was transfer.2N was meant as minor takeout, which partner read correctly. The trouble began now, as I was afraid, without discussion, that 4H might be construed as a heart/club 6/4 or 5/5 hand. Knowing all finesses were on, I was concerned that partner wouldn't be able to reach his hand often enough to take 2 finesses even if he had a singleton spade. Could you have done better? mr1303
No, me neither. In fact I'm more than happy at finding a making game rather than missing slam on these cards
kenrexford
Once you bid 2NT as minors and partner picks diamonds, and goes to the 4-level, 4H by you must be a cuebid. Partner will cue 4S and tada. If 4H is RKCB, then 4S, not plausibly Exclusion, must be either a cue or an ask. If asking, 4S does the tricl. If a cue, 5C "asks" and does the trick by inference. So, depending upon style (and trust level), yes.

Most likely I would have stopped in a partial, since I dont play penalty dbl. Marlowe

Trpltrbl
The key is to find pd with a singleton ♠ or the Ace or KingIf he has the A he can't have a ♦ honor, otherwise, but possible, the opp opened 1NT with 14.Again looking for pd with very specific holding and certain cards.I think I am happy to be in game and yes slam is nice but very hard to get in.
