purvisa
This seemed about the only place to post this, so here I go. I have created a bridge scoring widget for Apple's Dashboard environment. What this means, and I explain this knowing that BBO does not support the Mac OS, is that I have a simple utility—created with HTML, Javascript, and CSS—that returns the duplicate score for a given bridge hand and specified result. Windows Vista (formerly Longhorn) will be released in the second half of 2006, barring further delays. It is scheduled to include a DHTML tool environment known as Sidebar with a similar development system to Dashboard's. I am looking for someone who might be interested in porting BridgeKeeper to the Vista Sidebar. If you want to know more or to read the Javascript code, visit the support site (IE will make a mess of it, but the widget is designed for Mac users, so the site is as well). One last note: BridgeKeeper 2.0, currently in early development, will support both duplicate and rubber scoring. My goal is to provide scoring tools to computer users on as many platforms as possible.
