awm
Pass over 2♥. An "off-shape support double" is possible I guess, but seems pretty goofy, especially since people often rebid four-card majors at the two level after support doubles. Otherwise pass seems the only option. After the 3♥ raise and 3♠ by partner, I bid 4♠. I have a max for my bidding and my cards are all working. Why did partner not open 2♠ or 3♠? Personally I don't find this all that weird because my unfavorable preempts are very conservative. It'd pretty easy to construct hands with 6-7 spades which I would pass in 2nd seat at unfavorable. Perhaps for some people there is more of a negative inference here.

Robert
Hello everyone Pass over 2H overcall is automatic. Raising to 4S is automatic. Partner has AQJ109 or a 6 card spade suit. The 3S bid is invitational in my methods. I play a Precision type base with 0-9HCPweak jump shifts. If partner rebids his major, he is showing 9+-11HCP and 6+ spades. If partner cannot make 4S opposite this control rich hand and Kx of spades, he hit a really bad trump break or simply misbid. This is a super dummy for the auction. luke warm
what's the concensus on a rosenkrantz double instead of support doubles? support better (ie, more helpful)?
