Walddk
Congratulations from me too, not only on the bronze medal but also on winning the IBPA Personality of the Year Award! IBPA stands for International Bridge Press Association. Fred was rewarded for the way he has promoted bridge through the expansion of BBO. I am sure I speak on behalf of everyone when I say that no one deserves this more than him! Read about it here: http://www.worldbridge1.org/bulletin/05_2%...oril/bul_13.pdf page 12. han
Nicely done USA2, great performance! I hope (and expect) to see this team again in the next BB. Although I'm enjoying the broadcast tremendously and I'm very thankful to Fred, Uday and all the others for their efforts to make BBO as nice as it is, I don't see the point of personality awards. (this is not supposed to be a negative comment about Fred of course, just about personality awards in general.)

I think the point of the award is to honor and recognize someone who has stood out throughout the year and helped promote the game of bridge. Great bridge and a great opportunity which you and your fellows have given us with vugraph ! Perhaps the IBPA was avoiding "Man of the Year" when they awarded "Personality of the Year" :D

Al_U_Card
Just a word of encouragement to Sheri as without her support and contributions Fred would not be the man he is.......or will be.
