does weak2 stop you?

Yes, easy pass. 2NT shows about an ace more than this (at least), and double is revolting. Partner isn't barred from bidding with a suitable hand.

It's not the level, it's the suit. Can't double without four hearts, can't bid a 4-suit minor at the 2nd level either. I not only pass 2Sp, I'd pass 1Sp as well.

This, of course, is valid only in a direct position. In a balancing position I bid 1NT (playing 15-17 NT).

Added:

Just to be clear, because 1NT is insufficient after 2Sp: I pass in all positions. Overcalling 2NT after a weak 2 is an exception of the rule of balancing. It requires the same strength both in direct and in balancing position (16-18) because you have no guarantee that the responder is weak too.

Huh? This post isn't clear at all who the weak 2 bidder is.........

If pard opens 2 - if playing Ogust I'll try 2N. I want to be in game opposite a random hand with AK-6th of spades.

Not playing anything fancy, I'll just raise to 3 and double 4 and the theory that I'm not settling for +100 against our +140.

Passing and selling out to 3 seems very cowardly to me at MPs.

If RHO opens 2 I pass.

PASS (I interpret the post as saying that rho opened 2 spades)

a 2NT overcall shows a balanced 15-18 ( not unusual for minors), and at least one spade stopper.

10 of the spades for this hand are theoretically now accounted for, so partner is likely to be short and, with sufficient values, may balance if lho also passes. Hand might likely be a misfit.
