Guest Jlall
3S to be followed by 4H. Probably bad bidding for an indy, but I don't think he will pass 3S :)
han
Quite likely given the profile that partner will pass 3S. However, I prefer to make the right bid assuming that partner will get it rather than assume that partner won't. Actually, I prefer not to play in individuals. Kalvan14
3♠. Most likely the bidding goes: (2♠)-X-(P)-3♠-(P)-4♣ or ♥ Over 4♣, bid 4♦ (which is 100% forcing, and should be a 2-suiter ♦/♥) Over 4♥, 4♠ (cue bid): a slam is quite possible, and the 5-level should be safe
P_Marlowe
4H, anything else is asking for trouble. Marlowe
P_Marlowe
3♠. Most likely the bidding goes: (2♠)-X-(P)-3♠-(P)-4♣ or ♥ Over 4♣, bid 4♦ (which is 100% forcing, and should be a 2-suiter ♦/♥) Over 4♥, 4♠ (cue bid): a slam is quite possible, and the 5-level should be safe First of all, 4C would show a one suiter, hence 4D could be interpreted as cue bid, i.e. not as a two suiter. But most likely, because you are short inspade, partner will bid 3NT, because he holds a stopper. And over 3S you are dead, what ever you dobesides passing, partner wont understand you. That assumes, that 3S will be interpreted as stopper ask, but only heaven knows, how your expert partner plays 3S. Bid 4H, keep it simple. With kind regardsMarlowe
Fluffy
Am I the only one who sees the double was penalty? lets pass :)
adhoc3
A safe 4H. Too conservative? Yes, I dont like it :) Just for building up trust for the rest boards. Anyway, If pd hold a super hand, he can continue. How I wish a fitting jump 4♦ available! But not, even between regular PD!
Guest Jlall
Hard to make fit jumps when partner hasn't even bid a suit yet :P

stuartmn
3s is right then if partner bids 4h I would pass ,he shouldnt with extras,if he bids 4c ,bid 4d (3s is game force) and then if he bids 4h ,bid blackwood or 5h.
stuartmn
:) sorry I meant bid 6h or blackwood after his 4h
Al_U_Card
When pard bids 3NT after your 3S effort (it IS an indy after all) does your next action depend on the look on his face? ;)
Kalvan14
I doubt that, even in an Indy, someone will pass 3♠.if it goes 3♠-3N, I'll bid 4♥, with a smile :D
