I pass (didn't feel the need to come in with 1♥) and LHO comes in with a double. 1♠ by Han and 2♦ on my right. 3♣ feels right now and LHO closes it out with 3♦. Sounds like diamonds are 4-4, so I track my stiff spade, hoping for several ruffs and partner's aces. Dummy flops: KQJxxx, xx, AKx, Ax. Oh too bad - looks like Han's 1♠ slowed them down and kept them out of an unmakeable 4♠. Well, not really :) Han held: x, KJxx, xx, KQJxxx. His 1♠ call picks off their ELEVEN card fit. For what it's worth I think your opening post was fine,some of the later "comments" seemed to be ridiculingthe opps..... If not,then I'm sorry I assumed. In fact, the moment I made this psyche I told Echo (who was playing at a different table) about it (and in particular because it was a psyche in the spade suit, Echo's favorite). Of course, when it worked out so well I had to give him all the details. I can't imagine talking about this problem without "humiliating" the opponents. They messed up big time on this hand, everybody can see that... And as Frederick said, the squeeze was just silly and shouldn't have paid off like it did.
