GIBS slowing down?

GIB’s are taking longer and longer to bid and play, does the number of GIBS being used effect the delay time or is there another cause?

I have not changed their thought power.

The speed at which the GIBs play is not related to how many GIBs are playing on BBO (or how many people are playing on BBO or how many tournaments, tables, vugraphs, etc. are running on BBO).

 

The "thinking" done by each GIB is done on the PC of the host of the table at which that GIB resides (ie it is not done on our server). In theory, the only relevant factor in terms of GIB's speed of play is the setting you choose for this. However, if your PC is busy doing other things while you are playing on BBO (for example, if you are running a lot of other programs at once) that would also slow things down.

 

If this continues to happen I suggest you try restarting your PC, check your GIB speed setting, and try again without a lot of other programs runnings. If you have more than one user ID that you use on a regular basis, keep in mind that each user ID has its own "options file" and that GIBs speed settings are stored in these files (so GIB might play fast when you are logged in with one ID and slow when you are logged in with a different ID).
