2C seems fair to me. I don't think there'll be a problem describing this hand

2C 2D

2S 2NT

3H 3NT

4H

and so on. With a trick less I would bid a straight 4H after 2NT.

I assume that was a game force auction for you, a bit tougher if you start out:

2c=2h(non game force but not negative just deny A or K) or whatever in your style :(.

Interesting, how will pard divine you are not 6-5 like you showed? He will preference you with 2-2 and you will start getting tapped. You will not like it very much. You also assume the opps won't bid. Holding 2 minor suit cards and opening 2C, this seems unlikely to me.

How about:

2C-2D* *catchall bid

3H*-3S** *Majors. **Weak preference or 2/2

4H* *Longer major.

1.

If I open 2 we'll likely get pummeled in / and not get our suits in.

If pard passes 1 - I am only slightly worried about playing exactly 1. It may be a total misfit or the opponents might rescue me.

If I get a 2 of a minor balance on my right, I will jump to 3.

If we start with showing off our little systems, why not open a strong 1 opening? ;)

Easy 1 imo, easiest way to show strong with 5-6.

Playing a strong 1C system is in my experience WORSE than playing strong 2C systems. The opponents are even more likely to interfere and when they do, you partner doesn't even know close to how strong you are.

Nobody's perfect. If pard has 2-2 and I go down for playing in the wrong fit... well, that's the worst-case-scenario, and I don't usually think in terms of that.

As I say, this is a guessing game. My guess is to open 2 and sort it out later. Yours is to open 1 and hope it's not passed out.

And then there still is the problem that the opponents are likely to interfere and you may not be able to show both suits.

Hi,

I am not worried, about the opponents, I have

a suit, I can play Hearts.

Maybe I can describe my hand 100%, but I want to

hear partner decision, if they sacrifie with 5 or 6 in

a minor.

With kind regards

Marlowe
