fred Posted September 20, 2005 Report Share Posted September 20, 2005 A quick test suggests that this does not always happen and I am not sure under which circumstances this is possible. There used to be an annoying bug that sometimes happened when you joined a tourney table as a kibitzer. What happens was you saw "waiting for next deal..." stay on the screen, possibly for several minutes. Logging off was the only way out of this. I am pretty sure I have fixed this bug, but it sounds like the bug you report in a side effect of what I did. Now I have to take away the side effect... If you remember whether the round number changed (or try to notice that if you see that again), please let me know. The tourney I was in was 7x2 ; I don't remember exactly which tourney it was, but there were quite a few stars playing and it finished around the time I posted my message. I think I first saw it happen going into round 5 or 6. Actually, I didn't notice it until they were into their second board of the round, and at the time I thought that it was mistakenly reporting that this round was complete. If you (or anyone else) sees this happen again, please provide details. Doing experiments like barmar did (leaving table and returning for example) and reporting the results of these experiments helps a lot. The single most important piece of information I need is whether or not the round number changes when this happens. I'm kibbing #276 Pairs Quick Start, and after the round changed from 2 to 3 it displayed "Round 3 of 4 complete". So the round number is updating correctly. One difference was that I was following a player during the 2->3 change, I turned off follow before the 3->4 change to see if it would make a difference. It looks like this tourney is a Mitchell movement, and the player I was following is sitting NS, so in both cases I didn't change tables. The change from round 2->3 went fine, then I enabled following a player, and the change from 3->4 kept the "complete" marker, but updated the round number. barmar Posted September 22, 2005 Author Report Share Posted September 22, 2005 Just saw another bug that might be related. I was kibbing and following a player. When the last round ended, I was put in the tourney lobby. I wanted to go to Table 1 to kibbitz the remainder of the last round, but I couldn't. Whatever table my mouse moved over. the pop-up would always say "Click to kibbitz table 12", and the table I was over would switch places with 12.
