sceptic
Hi all, I ran a tourney today, with 12 hands I created myself, with various two suited hands, I tried to make them interesting for the people playing. I am going to post the hands here in the hope one of you experts likes them and will help me out with my next free tourney, what I would like is someone to look over the hands before I do the tourney and tell me what the best or possibly contarct N/S or E/W should reach. When I ran the tourney I also had the assistance of a very nice WBF certified director (just trying to add a bit of competancy to my tourneys) anyway if you like these 12 hands and would not mind viewing 12 more I will create over the next few weeks message me and I can send you the hands (the pay for this job is crap but you are welcome to pop round my house for a few beers afterwards) here are the 12 hands I used in the tourney [hv=d=n&v=n&n=sak4haqj984d974c5&w=s6hk72dkt6cq98743&e=sq7532h3dqjcakjt2&s=sjt98ht65da8532c6]399|300|Scoring: IMP[/hv] West North East South - [hv=d=n&v=n&n=sak4haqj984d974c5&w=s6hk72dkt6cq98743&e=sq7532h3dqjcakjt2&s=sjt98ht65da8532c6]399|300|Scoring: IMP[/hv] West North East South - - [hv=d=n&v=n&n=sak4haqj984d974c5&w=s6hk72dkt6cq98743&e=sq7532h3dqjcakjt2&s=sjt98ht65da8532c6]399|300|Scoring: IMP[/hv] West North East South - - - [hv=d=n&v=n&n=sak4haqj984d974c5&w=s6hk72dkt6cq98743&e=sq7532h3dqjcakjt2&s=sjt98ht65da8532c6]399|300|Scoring: IMP[/hv] West North East South [hv=d=n&v=n&n=sak4haqj984d974c5&w=s6hk72dkt6cq98743&e=sq7532h3dqjcakjt2&s=sjt98ht65da8532c6]399|300|Scoring: IMP[/hv] West North East South - [hv=d=n&v=n&n=sak4haqj984d974c5&w=s6hk72dkt6cq98743&e=sq7532h3dqjcakjt2&s=sjt98ht65da8532c6]399|300|Scoring: IMP[/hv] West North East South - - [hv=d=n&v=n&n=sak4haqj984d974c5&w=s6hk72dkt6cq98743&e=sq7532h3dqjcakjt2&s=sjt98ht65da8532c6]399|300|Scoring: IMP[/hv] West North East South - - - [hv=d=n&v=n&n=sak4haqj984d974c5&w=s6hk72dkt6cq98743&e=sq7532h3dqjcakjt2&s=sjt98ht65da8532c6]399|300|Scoring: IMP[/hv] West North East South [hv=d=n&v=n&n=sak4haqj984d974c5&w=s6hk72dkt6cq98743&e=sq7532h3dqjcakjt2&s=sjt98ht65da8532c6]399|300|Scoring: IMP[/hv] West North East South - [hv=d=n&v=n&n=sak4haqj984d974c5&w=s6hk72dkt6cq98743&e=sq7532h3dqjcakjt2&s=sjt98ht65da8532c6]399|300|Scoring: IMP[/hv] West North East South - - [hv=d=n&v=n&n=sak4haqj984d974c5&w=s6hk72dkt6cq98743&e=sq7532h3dqjcakjt2&s=sjt98ht65da8532c6]399|300|Scoring: IMP[/hv] West North East South - - - [hv=d=n&v=n&n=sak4haqj984d974c5&w=s6hk72dkt6cq98743&e=sq7532h3dqjcakjt2&s=sjt98ht65da8532c6]399|300|Scoring: IMP[/hv] West North East South
pigpenz
what i would do if i were you is to get copy of dealmaster pro which used deepfinesse analysis on the hands. It will tell you all available contracts in both directions. I think the acbl uses it alot for sectionals I dont know about regionals as havent been to one in 15 yrs  You could then cull hands that you want to use along the parameters that you are looking for. You could then post the html or pdf file on the internet so players could download and see the hand records and DF results. I myself have thought about doing this cause I would like to see more partscore battles as oppossed to game in almost every hand results. cherdano
Hi Wayne, maybe that is obvious, but I think you should make it clear in the tournament description that the hands are not randomly dealt, but made up by you. While many people enjoy Goulash tournaments, some (including me) don't, so it is better if everyone knows beforehand. Hm, interesting, I wonder if they all read the tourney description <_< also very difficult, I announced it 3 times and I suspect some people have lobby chat off :)

ArendI played the tournament discussed here, and I can attest that 1. It was very clear in the description that the hands were predealt.2. It was very clear in the description that it was not goulash, but specific hand types.3. It was a very well run tournament with no problems that I could see.4. The directing seemed to be quite good, with the TDs right on top of what was happening.5. The chat was not filled with spam from the TDs, so it was possible to concentrate.6. The hands were interesting but not silly or outrageous like some predealts are. All in all, a very enjoyable tournament and I hope to play in the next one! paulg
As mentioned DealMaster will do the job. A cheaper alternative is to set up a teaching table with 4 GIBs and let them play the hands. This will not give you the best score or anything, but probably give you a reasonable reference point for each hand. Cheers Paul
