mrdct
There have been a few technical problems with the curreent vugraph presentation from Indonesia. Whilst there have been some reports of viruses, etc. on some of the local machines, the way some of the problems have been manifesting themselves appear to me to be software or server related. The most common and obvious thing is when a closed room table syncs to an open room table doing "O" coverage, the names of the open room players and the title "open room" appear until the operator redeals. There have also been a few freezes during which period viewers can't hover their mouse over the table indicator in the top left corner to see who's in the room. shoeless
I too have been watching these occurences and trying to make sense of the problems they are having - the freezing certainly doesn't appear to me to be on-site related as the connection remains good to chat with others in the theatre and the commentary can continue during that freeze. fred
Can you please provide more details about these "freezes"? If the only symptom you see is that the bidding/play stops but you are unable to see the kibitzer list, that does suggest that operator is having a connection problem. Are you able to do things like leave the table or chat when one of these incidents takes place? shoeless
Makes sense Fred - it's similar to when there is an unprocessed claim at a table in the club.tourney or match - until the claim is finalized one way or another the kib list isn't available. If people will leave me alone today to watch I will try to be more observant about the things Daivd has broached - heh his nick should be Mr. Vugraph - he sees all. Walddk
Something weird has happened to Walddk4 regularly during our broadcasts from Indonesia. After the auction is over, NS move to the EW seats (still with N and S along the player names) and vice versa. When the operators click on redeal for the next board, the players move back to their right seats. And then it happens all over again after the next auction. Roland I think your Walddk4 ID probably has "player at bottom" set to "declarer". Log in as Walddk4 and click the Options button on the toolbar. You will be able to see if my theory is right and, if it is, change the setting (best to use "you" not "south"). If that doesn't fix the problem please let me know!
