pbleighton
Does anyone know of a writeup of such a system (in English)? I have a BTC document, but haven't been able to find any "natural canape". Is it a practical approach? Peter
SteelWheel
Isn't the Hackett brothers' "The Science" basically a canape and natural system? I forget the details, but I seem to recall reading a basic write-up in rgb at some point... Give it a search and see what you come up with. No. The Hacketts do open 4 card Mjs in preferences to minors with weak hands, but they do not play a canape system. If memory serves me well, Roman is a canape system and does not have a strong C, though 1C is forcing.
mike777
Ya in Roman 1c=4 way..some of which are very strong..Most common is 12-16 and 4333 or 4432
awm
Hmm here's one that's a strong ♥ system. Amazing the things you can find on the web. http://homepages.paradise.net.nz/~jbabor/boh.html
MickyB
I don't think canape works too well with unlimited openers - for a start, responder can give preference to opener's first suit much less often.
Free
Hmm here's one that's a strong ♥ system. Amazing the things you can find on the web. http://homepages.paradise.net.nz/~jbabor/boh.html Looks like a modified version of a strong pass system, with the fert and pass switched. :) But it's not a pure canapé system, since it's just 'possible canapé'. With 5♠-4♥ you'll show ♠ first, but in canapé systems you should show the ♥s first :) I agree with MickyB that it's probably not such good idea to play canapé without limited openers...
