  1. Just Penalty, if he has a good hand he can star with XX over 2♠. (sometimes its dangerous lol)
  2. 4♥ seems preety normal to me.
  3. Anyways i'm bidding 2♥ all day, just saw a good player bidding 1N. Wanted to be sure about that
  4. [hv=s=s5hkq7652d6ckq1072]133|100|[/hv] Your pd opens 1♠ first seat vul, playing 2/1 Was watching a good American table on bbo and the way someone treat this hand confused me a bit. How do you continue de bidding?
  5. This could sound dumb, but im not supporting Hearts in the bidding. You have a problem playing keycard on this hand. If your pd shows 1/4 you will never be sure if he has the K♥ or the A♠. I'm kinda crazy/creative, but im bidding 2♣ on that board. Now if my pd bid 3♣ am just asking keycard, now if he has one i will blast 7♥ If he is bidding another thing im jumping to 4♣ to set is as trump, to ask keycard, and again blasting 7♥ if he has one. This must sound crazy, but thats the way a crazy South American think. PS: This will work in a world when the opps are silent, but if they bid you can still handle to get into the rigth spot  **Only bidding 2♣ if i cant ask for Aces in first place. The ideal thing is to play 1M P 4N as Regular Keycard (Just 4A)
  6. I was playing rubber bridge yesterday at the club with three Chilean "Experts". With my partner, i can tell, we were in a good mood after the first two boards. We scored +100 and +1370. All the funny thing started at board 3. When i opened my cards holding: ♠ 10xx ♥ J97xxx ♦ - ♣ K9xx Not good when your opponets are vul. So the bidding goes: 1♠ P 4NT P 5♥ P 5NT P 7♦ P 7♠ ???? STOP!, my opponents bid 7♠ , vul, and i have a ♦ void!!! Thats very good news, you have faith in your partner, and you double. "+100, +1370, +200 and waiting the last board sounds like a good deal to me" I will DOUBLE, and of course my partner is leading a ♦.He will notice im likely to have a ♦ void after the 7♦ bid. So we were in 7♠ doubled. The good thing is my partner took 1 second on the lead! , and a red card appear, wow! it was a ♥!!!!, How do you guy will feel after that?? Complete hand: [hv=n=sjhkxxd108xxxcj8xx&w=saqxxxhdqj9xxca10x&e=sk9xxhaq10xdakxcqx&s=s10xxhj97xxxdck9xx]399|300|[/hv] 2470 :P
  7. Agree with Maggieb, if you are going to play for trumps 3-1, you have to run the J♠. Playing A♠, and running the J♠ is worse because in many cases you will have to ruff one ♥ and one ♣ on dummy.
  8. Good slam guys. (sarcasm) Im always going down on that type of slams to be fair. This looks familiar to me, a South American SLAM!! 1) The heart finesse has to be on. 2) We have a problem with the trump lady. 3) In case Hearts are 4-2 we have to ruff a ♣ and a ♥ in dummy I guess im playing for spades 2-2, or stiff Q. Winning the Q♣, playing the A♥, and A♠ and ♠ to the King. I guess this line wont work because this hand is posted on the forums, but it will be the line i would play at the table.
  9. 4♠. No ideas about other biddings

    6/5

I would open 1♠, but im just an aggro south american player. Playing Multi you have to play stolen bid i suppose, Doubling 3♣ cant be penalty, just have to be something else. As Justin said, Playing X as a good 2♠ bid and 3♦ as a good 2♥ bid sounds like a good idea.

    Pass?

I would rebid 2♣ i think, even 1♠, but never 1N on that hand. If you dediced to bid 1N why you would consider bidding 6? I think i would just pass and try to make my overtrick. the 99% of the times your partner was just looking for game with his bid. Trying to find the perfect hand is a guarantee to fail :)
  12. I think 4♦ is preety clear, a last train is needed on these cards. Good trump quality is always usefull! A hand like this one happened to me and my partner playing the last South American trials, when he hold: AKXX Qx XXXX XXX and after i opened a ♦ and splintered to ♣. he bid 4♥, reaching 6♠ and gaining 11 imps. PS: My hand was: QJxx A1098 AKQxx -
