Thanks Jillybean)), I have been getting somany questions about verona and how to meet with BBO friends. I have met few before in istanbul and deauville , france etc.. So many knows me already, I will set up a corner or desk:)) ( I am not sure what to find there), surely Convention Center can provide us a desk and will put a note like BBO Corner:)) and expect all friends to meet there and leave contact numbers and hotel room numbers etc... And except 10th and 17th of June I will try to arrange a dinner hopefully for all BBO friends to have fun and get acquainted. Hi all BBO members, FOT (friends of TopFlight) has a new project everyone (even nonmembers) should know about. So I am writing about this new initiative here to prevent any misunderstandings about it. FOT has a new SPONSOR (who wants to remain anonymous so will refer to the sponsor as "S"). "S" like to play in strong games to improve his/her skills and enhance his/her enjoyment of the game, and s/he feels many others feel this way too. "S" has been playing in FOT tournaments for a long time and has learned a lot by the high quality of the game provided by the many BBO Gold Stars who play in these events. S has decided to donate a reward fund to enhance similar educational goals for others who enjoy playing in a strong field against top notch BBO gold star players, and to allow kibitzers to also benefit by watching such strong players playing in strong field. To enhance such event, S has pledged $250 US dollars per month to be distributed among gold star players who participate in FOT tournaments. I will distribute this reward money among the gold stars who participate each month in FOT events. I am not certain how to split the money between the BBO gold stars (I am open to suggestions) but it will be split between the Stars who played in the most FOT events each month. We might start with $60 each to the two gold stars who played the most, and then $20 to the third most frequent playing gold star. Or we maybe we should give it all to the single gold star who plays the most. Please let me know your opinions about what would be the most effective way to encourage the greatest gold star participation. I also have had preliminary talks with a very good professional tournament director (TD) who is willing direct 1 or 2 tournaments a week. All of the donor's funds will be distributed to the gold stars with the exception of what we pay the professional director. To qualify for a share of the reward money, all the gold stars need do is play, and at the end of each month the registrations will be calculated and the money distributed to them by paypal or by personal cheque. And, as always, FOT tournaments are free and open to all FOT club members, and kibitzers are always welcome. Some star players might not like to play with their own BBO nickname and thus might prefer to use a second alias. In general, that seems ok to me but it raises a trust issue, as kibitzers and other players like to know who are they watching or playing against. So to qualify for the money, the stars have to play with their starred name (that is the point of the donation anyway). Hi Roland and all. I like to thank you for thinking other language speakers on their behalf. I will pass the message from Turkish speaking players. "we like to have Turkish commentating as well, we do not listen nor watch because we do not understand . Number of the kibitzers should not be the way of judgement in my humble opinion they do not watch vugraph clearly they do not understand. If there were turkish /or polish /spanish/bulgarian/hungarian/mandarin etc/..speaking vugraph commentating I am sure there will be more attendance. If you do need to be removed or not to get messages pls request and we will remove your name. See very easy. If someone wants to be removed I will remove the name no problem,but there is one person left swearing words as message ,that person is lucky that I did not reported that attitude to BBO management,simple things sorts simple things like plain requests?? thanks

Hi Yes in jr flight clubs we do have hand analysis after tournements ,and on thursdays we started lessons and I am aiming to increase the lessons, So it is a good use for teaching aims. And I have some more ideas but cannot use all of it at once. So I would say I use private club facilities for good reasons. A penny what it's worth :))

Hi 3 years ago in Florida I have entered a tournement,which was my first real life tournement:) I was playing with my friend's cousin.he is bold (no offence to anyone) and has a habit of scratching his head very often. My partner opened 1 club .and he again stroked his head.I did not take any notice and I bid 3 clubs. Opponents two oldish ladies called director in my horror -did not know why? The lady sitting on my right hand said" TD they are signaling to each other gentlemen stroke his head and lady bid 3clubs! " Td come to me and asked to see my cards. I opened my cards discreetly of course and TD said " carry on please " Of course I had in my hand ♣K,J,1o.9.8.x,x,x :))) and my p had ♣ A,Q.x :)))) well at that tournement me and my partner become 6th (amongst over 900 people) :lol:

HI all, Gwenny, I do not know you very well to say i dislike you personnaly the brief communication we have had tells me nothing,but this is nothing to do with your yellow actions. in reference to your explanation you say "It is share id and i do not know who log in on it,nor do I care" "I am only concern with violation of agreement by one of principals since I am person who is responsible to oversee this agreement. "do my best to remain IMPARTIAL and act in BBO's best interest" 1-If you are responsible FAIR yellow you SHOULD CARE who logged in and you should check BBO's best interest??? 2-as courtesy??? it is your duty when you become a yellow to do these but in proper ways 3-are you telling me you take neutral steps in violation af the agreement? please tell me this is not the proper way of acting and not courteous; one day about few weeks ago while I am directing topflight tourney a nick name (shared one also and according to the agreement you have mentioned ,not supposed to kib my tourney-breech of agreement) comes to my tourney and kibitz, I have noticed and informed 3 other yellows as well as my friends.After that I have asked the nick who it was and I have got the answer ,the user explained who it was.and I have told "xxxxx" abalucy nick name is not supposed to kib my tourneys."xxxx" person apologised and left.I said it is ok not to worry these kind of things happens and you may not know the agreement. yes gwenny which way is correct and corteous ,courteously sending I will bann you 2 weeks notices without even bothering to ask and then checking if this is true violation of the agreement? Hi ben, would you please answer to this question for me " a yellow should check the accusers story if it is true or not before take any action" yes or no? In my opinion and past experience a yellow have to ask the accused person if the accusation/s are right or not.. because sometimes and mostly a little detail might change whole event. Like it happened in my case which i will not go into detail here I got offline message from a " yellow" that SHE will ban me for two weeks for kibitzing one private club tourney. As a matter of fact if SHE had to bother to ask me i would explain that I was in Istanbul having cocktail drinks between 700 guests .. do you think this is fair and correct?? Of course i have complained to abuse@bridgebase.com lets see what happens. :o In another thread the SAME YELLOW cancelled a tourney ................ :D will reply this there .Abuse of the power is something has to be dealt with asap in my opinion. So please tell me what is the procedure of a Yellow before banning a user?I know the answer but perhaps other users not know this so it is usefull if they enlightened. thanks ece

Hi all and Uday and Ben, I was listed on TD list and used to get club news but I have asked to be deleted one of my nick only which is ecepal.. but for a while I have received club news on topflight nick too and fot nick .suddenly all these club news has been stopped.gwenny must have taken off all my nicks from Td list but why? i have never asked those nicks to be removed? that is what i mean.I cannot attend saturday meetings cos I work weekends due to nature of my business((( thanks again ece
