  1. ♣Mature, pleasant, advanced player seeks same for Precision or 2/1 for weekly matchpoint speedball events. Gadgets in moderation; more interested in someone who has mastered the basics some time ago. Politeness crucial. Constructive criticism hand-assessment after the event is encouraged, never during.♦ Thanks for your interest! :) Email is best for day to day contact: cheftate@comcast.net Brian aka Daddy-O I live in the SF Bay Area-so possible meet-ups for on-site games(?) if there's a fit. Consider I'm in Pacific Standard Time (Los Angeles)
  2. Am a reliably sound bidder and decent declarer and defender; 2/1 or Precision pref. WITH MANNERS looking for SAME in an ANDVANCED ACBL player. Must have sound foundation in the basics (too many don't); looking for MP SPEEDBALL games 11:00 AM and 1:00 games preferred. Like my share of gadgets though nothing replaces the FUNdamentals. (Yes, you can be serious about bridge and still have fun1). Email best for reg. communication. Thank you for your attention BRI cheftate@comcast.net) / aka Daddy-O
  3. Am an int-adv. player with strong grasp of the basics and pleasant to play with (no public critiques!). Knowledge of Precision is....6 on 1-10 scale (10=knowitall). Firm grasp of 2/1 basics. Have been playing > 40 yrs. PLEASANT and MP ONLY. 2-3x/wk. Thanks. Email contact option: cheftate@comcast.net
  4. Am an int-adv. player with strong grasp of the basics and pleasant to play with (no public critiques!). Knowledge of Precision is....6 on 1-10 scale (10=knowitall). Playing it for about 15 yrs. Willing to learn more of sys and also LOOKING FOR PARDNER for BBO purposes, MP ONLY. Thanks.
  5. If I need an answer when I'm logged in, I can't find it from a human. The "hosts" are, in my experience" unable (or unwilling-sometimes I'm ignored) from answering. Often, the FAQs don't adress my concerns. At one point, these "hosts" were people who were informed and available. PLEASE BRING at least ONE BACK per shift. Tnx.
  6. There should be, IMO, some indication from the pop-up invitation to join when one is signed up as a sub, as to WHETHER THE GAME IS IMPS OR MPs. I for one, don't care for IMPs and am a much more accomplished MP player. It works for the benefit of the instant partners of these subs to have someone who truly wants to be there!
  7. I am a steady and seasoned Adv. player looking for a Precision partner (pref.) or 2/1 for sectionals and regionals in the SF Bay Area. Pleasant with a sense of humor preferred (no robots, thanks), with regular BBO practice sessions. Matchpoints preferred. Brian can be reached at cheftate@comcast.net
  8. 2/1 or Precision partner wanted for long term partnership to play in SECTIONALS, REGIONALS, peninsula UNIT GAMES w/ regular BBO practice. PLEASANT ONLY. Must live in SF Bay Area. :)
  9. I am a solid, advanced 2/1 or Precision player in San Mateo, CA looking for a pleasant advanced + partner for sectional, regional (club game?)action with BBO as practice/partnership refinement. I am polite, easy going though competitive with knowledge of most popular gadgets currently in use. My direct email is cheftate@comcast.net. Looking forward to hearing from you. BRIAN ♠
  10. This sounds like a great idea. When can you play?
  11. Looking for a SF Bay Area player,(Dist. 21) advanced, pleasant, to play in sectionals, regionals, practice on BBO. 2/1 or Precision. email: cheftate@comcast.net
  12. MP only. I play a solid and thoughtful game. Looking for same. Someone who doesn't play bridge as a life or death proposition. Sense of humor appreciated. Pacific Stnd time here. What about you? My email: cheftate@comcast.net
  13. Live in San Mateo, CA. Looking for long term MP partner for local and No. Cal events. And, yes, prac. sessions on BBO in between. Have played Precision over the years, less lately, generally 2/1. While I think it's a great system, I tend to want to focus less on bidding systems than strong card play. I prefer to play with people who are towards the "Adv." end of Int-Adv (where I put myself), have a strong grasp of the basics, natural card sense, and, though highly competitive, don't live and die by their results at the bridge table. A sense of humor tends to reflect this which typical shows up in the course of a Tourney. Someone who has social graces and is pleasant to play with (incl. to opps) is a must. In other words, no robots OR primadonnas, thank you. Finally, here's my rescue bid: Help me get out of these Indiv. events; too many really BAD players. If you (or anyone else reading this post) want to continue talking, by all means, let's. Cheers, Daddy 0/Brian email: cheftate@comcast.net

I'm anxious to bail on these Indiv. tournaments where the comp is sooooo inconsistent. NB. I only play MP, live in Calif. (PST) and prefer the 8 00 posted (EST) pairs events. And am a shade more proficient in 2/1 (my usual sys.) Cheers, Daddy 0
  15. Am in intermediate-advanced player of many years looking for a PLEASANT player of similar abilities with firm grasp of the basics and social graces. Upcoming REGIONAL IN SAN FRANCISCO 2/8-2/15. Practice on BBO necessary at least once. Daddy O
