Hi, Starting a few days ago, in Chrome, myhands loads but opening any hand record gives File Not Found In F12, it shows: Access to XMLHttpRequest at 'https://webutil.bridgebase.com/v2/mh_handxml.php?id=1637729482-1633042800' (redirected from 'https://www.bridgebase.com/tools/mh.php?id=M-1637729482-1633042800') from origin 'https://www.bridgebase.com' has been blocked by CORS policy: No 'Access-Control-Allow-Origin' header is present on the requested resource. webutil.bridgebase.com/v2/mh_handxml.php?id=1637729482-1633042800:1 Failed to load resource: net::ERR_FAILED In Firefox, it works no problems. Can reproduce issue on a Macbook Pro or Win10 in two different networks. Reported to support@, no response yet. I tried allowing insecure content on *.bridgebase.com in the Chrome settings but didn't help. Thank you!

I get that too, it happens when I have BBO in a tab in Chrome running and I am kibitzing a match, then I move focus to a different tab for normal internet browsing, then maybe in 5 minutes I come back to the BBO tab and it replays all the bids and cards from some time in the past, like it wants me to see all the activity in the hands since I stopped looking at it. It's kind of nice actually, but I am not sure if it's a feature or a bug.

Sounds good, then it's just a minor bug. I am watching a team game (#30271). My table shows 25-34. If I click Other Table, it shows as 34.0-25.0. Thanks, Dan

+1. Also, from 2 years ago: https://www.bridgebase.com/forums/topic/80807-move-the-claim-box/

Hi, Currently, IMP total scores while kibitzing a team game appear at the bottom of the 'We' and 'They' columns with one digit after a decimal, so 10 shows as 10.0. This makes sense for adjustments or what not where the actual IMP total could be non-whole numbers, but it is for me annoying to have to look at 10.0 and 12.0 to quickly determine who is winning and by how much. 10 and 12 (like each of the board scores are whole numbers) seems right if there have been no artificial score adjustments. -- edit - this might be only when viewing "Other Table" tab on the right. Viewing "My" table's scores are in the above example, 10 and 12 as desired. Thanks, Dan

Non-Natural System for beginners

Speaking of "advanced Dutch Doubleton", you can get a book on it here - https://bridgewithdan.com/books/ -
Yes, could have just been coincidence, that any reload of the site would have fixed it, sigh.

What was the solution? I am now having the same problem. Disabling Bridge Solver extension in Chrome fixed it for me.

Hi all, I'm looking for a way to produce something like an old style hand record from an ACBL speedball game on BBO so someone can print it out and look at all the hands (not necessary to have auction/result but that would be nice if it were there). Best I can see is some sort of scrape of the myhands search result by the Bridge Solver chrome extension that would save it as a pbn and then you can open it in say BridgeComposer and create a hand record. But I didn't know if there was some other nifty way to get all the hands from a specific ACBL Speedball into a hand record after it was complete. Thanks, Dan

The recent update has improved the perceived responsiveness everywhere, or maybe it was not exactly the update but happened about the same time. Pulling up tournament history, convention cards, it's just more zippy now, thank you!

Ah ok, yeah, it's just my browser - doesn't happen in incognito tab or Firefox, I'll clear the cache etc, thanks! Looks like the Bridge Solver extension if enabled causes this to happen (I had just added it, didn't realize it could have such an effect).

I think this is happening again, starting today (not yesterday).

Hi, Recently, I finished an ACBL speedball and we finished board 11 (of 12) but not in time to get board 12 started so 12 was auto-averaged (EXPECTED). But in the history it shows the 11th board as the averaged one (but if you click on it shows it correctly as the 12th, with the hands of the 12th board, that we did not play). Thanks, Dan

Abuse@ will forward the new report, just as most reports, to the BBO Ethics department. To catch cheaters, look for weird bids. Note the names of the players. Later when you have time, use myhands website to look at their last few weeks. If cheating, it should be apparent clicking through the hands. Hands to report are not hands that they might have gotten lucky on were they just bad players or taken a stance. Look for the really weird ones that they do ok or well on.

Hi all, Just wanted to say I was fortunate enough to come upon some cheaters in October 2019 in a random room, and I reported them and gave 10 sample hands that most demonstrate the cheating. Just today almost a year later I randomly noticed some likely cheating, did the research, reported the hands, and then the names seemed familiar. Indeed, same pair! How many times before they are banned? Thanks, Dan

Thank you!

Thanks for the fast response. I checked Edge and Firefox, same behavior (though I had never tried those before with this, not sure if that is new). Javascript is enabled on all browsers (https://www.whatismybrowser.com/detect/is-javascript-enabled)

Hi, I have tested only in Chrome but on multiple machines. It seems like now a link in myhands opens by default in a new tab. It used to pop out in its own viewer window I think. The advantage to that is you can easily keep your place in the original search because clicked links have a different color. Now, it replaces the search and when you click back to see the next hand, you have to spend time figuring out where you left off. You can middle-click a link with a mouse (or right-click...open in new window) to try to keep the original window but it might not consider the link clicked in those cases. In case there was a change here and it was not meant to change this, I am voting for the previous behavior. Thanks, Dan

Hi, I don't know the exact workflow since it happens rarely and not sure what buttons my opps are pressing in what order. But sometimes I type explanation with my bid and make the bid. Then a few seconds later someone asks about the bid (I am prompted), I just click OK since the explanation is already there, and now every few seconds the prompt keeps coming back. As if they are clicking Explain again. But surely they are not (I hope). Only way to stop is to close out BBO and come back. Thanks, Dan

Hi, This is related to https://www.bridgebase.com/forums/topic/82224-please-cut-chat-club-when-playing/ but I was not sure if it was split out yet. When I serve a bidding bidding or normal table, my default chat is to the kibitzers. It probably should be to the table. Thanks, Dan

Looks like May 16 stuff is back on my hands, but nothing before May 16. Hands I played, or hands from the pro team matches.

Glad you are keeping an eye out, best thing to do is note the player's handles and just move on in your play, ignoring it. Later when you have time, go to myhands and look for the pair over the last 4 weeks. Click through the hands, look at the bidding and the play. Look for abnormally high scores if you want to save time. Also look for abnormally bad scores. Click through and see if the play and bids make sense for a bad player, good player (or blatant cheating, but that would be a lazy cheater). I have caught several for BBO over the years but you have to do your research, else say nothing, and certainly never anything to the pair or director at the time, it just can't be determined without research and might distract you. If you find a clear case, send links to the myhands movies of choice, with a small comment on each hand, send to abuse@bridgebase.com. Thanks, Dan

Great feedback, BBO relies on feedback to improve their product, thanks for speaking up on your experience so quickly.

BBOalert : replacement of Full Disclosure tool
DJNeill replied to stanmaz's topic in Full Disclosure and Dealer
I was going to start it up, but noticed it does not have vulnerability support (different meaning depending on the four none/us/them/both vulnerabilities) - I'd be a rarer user though to play a system that differs in vulnerability, like variable notrump.
