Expert in Precision (with >20 years of tournament experience), 2/1 (much better than most BBO players by far, but not really expert) also; very fond of Match Point style.

  1. I am able to have full access to the original BBO browser 5.2.21 as my user name: BFone; this includes the full access to maintain my private cc including editing for many years. However, PROBLEM #1: I cannot log in with my original user name: x-xx, that I had registered almost within a year since BBO had been launched. When I log on via 5.2.21 with my user name x-xx, I was always re-directed to a flash internet browser, which still allows me to assign my private cc to play with other BBO members. Recently, PROBLEM #2: the latest internet browser not only cannot provide access for x-xx to use BBO member's private cc, it did not even allow me to assign my private cc to other BBO users and play my cc. Wonder if there is a way to revise and update the BBO member name access list to browser version 5.2.21 and include the user name x-xx, in order to to resolve my 2 problems associated with x-xx."6"][/font]
  2. Due to private agreement with partner on using our own convention card: our Next Generation SAYC for Match Point v.2.8a, we play the first DBL by North as negative DBL with 8+HCP [or 14+SP(our own hand evaluation method)] with at least 4-3 Major suits (ideally 4-4). At the second DBL by South/Opener, again per our private agreement, Opener showed specifically 4 cards Spade with potential 2-4 cards Heart and 11+HCP, so that it allows the 3H bid by Opener to show limit 11-14HCP with specifically 4/5 cards Heart suit and possible 2-3 cards of Spade suit and Pass as a Forcing Pass if their 3C bid is pre-emptive, or as Semi-Forcing Pass if their 3C response was constructive. Slam bidding is deliberately forfeited for MP applications. If for KO events, the 3H bid might be modified via further discussion. The above is just our specific way to use the DBL made by Opener. If the Opener RHO jumps to 4C instead of 3C, Opener's DBL is entirely different. Such DBL is again our own arrangement to declare we want to out bid their 4C with 4M, but pass is neutral, not a forcing pass. This is an interesting bidding sequence. :) BFone
  3. 1♣ -1♠, 2♣ -2♦ (New Minor suit Force), 2♥(force to show good hand, partner already showed no 4 cards H) - 3♣(Jx is minimum in expert bidding), 3♦(further force to show better hand) - 3S♠ (show slam interests) 3NT (sign-off) - 4♠ (further slam interests plus good ♠ suit) 4NT (waiting, no ♠ fit) - 5♣ (showed enough, but not pass 4NT for slam hope) 6♣ (gamble because 4NT was not passed)
  4. Opponents may make slam at this point as the 2C bidder was still unknown (but unlikely 6S can make from the 4S bidder's view); their vulnerable 4S call and partner's pass showed this hand belonged to them. The pass by partner after 2C was critical as useful convention should be used; barring this, partner likely had weak hand with D (no good C support and thus H losers). This made 6C of 6D likely to have at least 3 losers: 2 H tricks, 1 D trick for -500 to -800 while opponents can still make 6S. 6C or 6D makes little difference, but in anticipation of bad !D split from the 2C bid, 6C is safer. Therefore depending on how good the opponents, my bid is 5C instead of 6C (in order to goat them to bid the unlikely 6S especially in MP setting).
