  1. So many people have "precision" in their player profile, but which Precision system do they refer to? Asking bids or not? What response scheme? etc etc?
  2. Additional Questions: What is 1♥ (2♠) 3♠? What is (1♥) 1♠ (3♥) X?
  3. 1000% 1♠. You never pass a 1-level takeout double without something like 3.5 trump tricks. You have 1 at most, so it would be quite mad.
  4. Is this really a good slam? Wouldn't a diamond lead through the K defeat it, possible 2 due to a diamond ruff? 1♣ - 1♥ 1♠ - 2♦ (1) 3♣ (2) - 3♥ (3) 4♣ (4) - 4♠ (5) 5♥ (6) - 6NT (7) (1) 4th suit game forcing (2) Confirms good 5-card club suit (3) Confirms good 5-card heart suit (4) Confirms slam interest, since it bypasses 3NT (5) Spade stopper (6) Heart King. (7) Responder sees 6 heart tricks, 3 club tricks, 1 spade trick, and since opener must have 18 points or so for slam try he must have something in spades.
  5. [hv=d=s&v=n&s=sakq109hakqxxdxcxx]133|100|Scoring: IMP[/hv]
  6. The nine must be the card...it is very unlikely that they led the 4 from nothing. Therefore there should be one honour with West at least and you can finesse it.
  7. 1. 1♦ what else? 2. 2NT unusual. 3. 3♥ Michaels?
  8. I choose a club because statistically it's the most unlikely suit that partner has honours.
  9. I bid 6♣. Seems right for a force...
  10. Bad, but not really awful. Too much defensive values.
  11. I would game-force, given the nice shape.
  12. Should not this contract make? Crossruff ♦ and ♣ until ♣ good, then draw trumps, force ♥A and enjoy?
  13. 5♣. Wheeee! It blocks their prospective spade / diamond game, and often makes them play in a bad level or suit. Also you're white and they're red, so all the more reason to wheeee! I expect partner to have AQxxxxx and little outside.
  14. You actually bid slam with this one? With a heart lead through the A you go down...
  15. I chose a heart, because partner doesn't need as many key cards to set up the suit.
  16. 20 points, nice 6-card suit, I open 2♣ definitely.
  17. Pass. Frankly this should be unanimous. Who chose to double?
  18. Game, yes. Slam too dangerous. I think it serves you right for bidding slam...
  19. Why not 3♣? After all partner can have 4 clubs, in which case it may be superior than something like 7-1 fits...
  20. 3♦. Seven diamonds, bid three level. Your hand isn't particularly strong anyway - it can have many losers especially opposite a diamond void so you ought to be careful. 3♦ should be pre-emptive oriented. After all, partner is the only one who hasn't shown anything!
