  1. You can email support@bridgebase.com or me directly if you prefer at diana@bridgebase.com (I will answer the Support tickets on the matter too, so either way these request land in my queue) to explain in more detail what you need. I suggest that, at the moment, the most practical solution to get your players online and playing is to ask permission to host free tournaments on BBO, either for you, or for your club TDs -- this can be granted immediately. I guess you're getting a lot of requests these days. I sent mine on march 15 and it's still unanswered. I hope this will happen shortly. Thanks to those of you who are working to allow us to have fun and cultivate our passion even in these difficult days. Good Job
  2. anybody for a takeout double in the second hand? planning to bid 5♥ if partner bids a minor suit as for the first hand, 4♠ seems the best bid to me

  4. A couple of suggestions for improvements in team matches, one of the best feature in BBO, in my opinion: - How many times have you seen some message from lobby, desperately seeking players for a team match? Well, my suggestion is to create a sort of desk for players who like this kind of competition and are ready to accept such an invitation. So when a player is arranging a match, he will just check the list and invite other players, and when 7 players accept, the match will easily start. - the possibility to set up a permanent team of 4/6 players, with its own name. Then we could have a list of teams, and when at least 4 players of the team are on line, the team itself is considered on line. So it will be possible that teams will challenge each other, or even (major improvement) arrange team competitions "swiss", or anything else I hope to have clearly explained my ideas (i'm italian, sorry for my english :D) and thank in advance anybody will contribute his ideas.
  6. i don't see a good reason for cheating to get a good rating. There is no money or no prizes for anybody, and no official points for bridge federations. I would prefer something helping the majority of players, rather than take care of few weird people.
  7. ;) mother and daughter? lollllllllllllllll but i agree: no comparison between BBO and others Bye
  8. When entering in BBO, it would be useful to know immediately which players are currently playing and which ones are in standby or kibitzing. Different label colours could serve this purpose. Other sites (eg MS zone or Playbridge) have separates rooms for lobby and for play. What do you think?
  9. I heard many claims about the status of BBO players. Some people don't like playing with beginners, some pretend to be "expert" and play like a beginner, etc etc. My proposal on this subject is to replace the system of self-rating with a number of BBO-points, that players can get by playing in tournaments. So, no more personal judgment about being advanced or intermediate, but 100, 500, 1000, or more points, that is an objective criteria. It could be nice to create something like the ATP tennis ranking Perhaps only the stars should maintain their rating. Many thanks for the attention
  10. I would make a proposal to BBO. Why don't you arrange some tournament on BBO from time to time (e.g. monthly) ? I think it would be great, and surely welcome by BBO users' community. Could be a couple, or a team tournament, or even both. I would like to play it even with no prizes, but probably it wouldn't be difficult to find some sponsor. Many thanks to everybody for the attention.
