  1. Hi, when I go to the myhands site I now need to Login to see any hand records. In principle this is probably a necessary feature to protect personal data and prevent spying on people, but it makes life difficult for coaches. I am in both roles, beeing coached and coaching some juniors and I wonder if there is a better option than giving my BBO password to my coach(es) / asking BBO passwords from the juniors I am coaching? Suggestion: Any BBO member could specify who may see his or her hand records: (a) only me (b) named BBO nicks (c ) all friends (d) all except enemies (e) everyone Elke
  2. Hi all, we recently had a bidding that started as follows: (3 ♣) p (5 ♣) 5 NT (p) 6 ♣ ... Do you have defined the difference between 5 NT and 6 ♣ from the first bidder? And are there different interpretations of 6 ♣ from the 2nd Person? Thanks for your answers. Elke
  3. Sorry, I messed this up. It was a TD case and I gave you the informations the player's partner had. So the real question is: Would you double if the explanations were: (1) serious NT (2) ♣ Cue (3) ♣ Cue (4) no alert The reason why I post this here is that the player who is protesting is too good to easily find Players with similar playing skills...
  4. Your Hand is: ♠ 5 ♥ AQ2 ♦ AQ543 ♣ 7654 Starting with your RHO the undisturbed bidding goes 1♥ 1♠ 2♠ 3NT (1) 4♣ (2) 5♣ (3) 6♣(4) 6♠ (1) slam interest, asking shortage (2) ♣shortage (3) cue (4) no specific agreement, might show void 6♠ is passed round to you and now the question is if one should double? Thanks for your answers! Elke
  5. It seems I have found the solution. I tried to execute the program as admin (got a private hint from someone who had read this) and then all was fine. After this it was only a small 2nd step to find out that the folder I had transfered from my old Notebook had a write protection. Without this I don't need admin rights, all is fine again. Thanks for your help. Elke
  6. Hi, I am using the old download version of BBO mainly for one important feature that is not in the online version: I can automatically record all hands I have played in a tournament in one file. This is very helpful, because I use BBO for training purposes and going through files online is much more work for me than scrolling through the hands offline with Netbridgevu.exe. This week I have played a tournament using bbowin and found unusable lin files on my new notebook where only one deal is shown. Old files however are displayed correctly. Does this problem have to do with a change in the BBO software or could the new notebook (Windows 8.1) be the reason for the lin files that are not being saved in the way I am used to? Thanks for any help Elke
