sorry I forgot bidding system is called Modern Standard American with 5 card majors

hello; I am trying to learn bridge and I downloaded a program which teaches bridge. At bidding section an example confused me and I would like to hear your opinion; I am South and my hand is: ♠73 ♥K982 ♣AQ763 ♦854 North opens the bidding with 1♣ East passes. And my turn According to the program It is suppose to be 1♥ I am wondering why not 2♥ since I have 10TP which is enough for 2-level bid
