  1. BBO Android 5.0.9 When setting up a bidding or teaching table, under the option Deal Source > Advanced, it would be nice to be able to paste a complicated script into the 'use this input for the Dealer program' field. I'm running a Galaxy S9 with Android 8.0, and when I long-press on this field, I do not get the usual paste menu. Regards, Dave
  2. When viewing other table results (on Android), and more results come in, the table does not refresh the IMPs properly. I think I clicked in to see the detail of one of these boards, and when I back-arrowed to see the list again, this is what I found:
  3. Landscape support added to last night's version (5.0.6) looks really great on a tablet. You've put in tremendous work over the past few weeks to add this. Sincere thanks!
  4. Try what I did and completely remove the software before reinstalling it again from the play store. You will need to know your BBO password though.
  5. Ok, this is another oddity. The undo feature is not visible if you are in 'Just Play Bridge' mode. However, it is available when you rent a robot (and presumably while playing against real people).
  6. Update I have sorted some of my issues. a) Unable to rent a robot My app data must have become corrupted during the initial upgrade. I tried resetting the apps' data using Android's Clear Data and Clear Cache (Apps > App info) buttons, but this didn't work. A complete uninstall and reinstall fixed the problem. b) Small bidding box / cards I was originally running with cards shown as Hand Diagrams. Changing it to 'Pictures of cards' improved the size of both the cards and the bidding box. c) Chat area taking up valuable space It took me ages to figure out how to remove the chat area (see below), but once I did both the size of the bidding box and the cards increased even further. d) Small history window There are two different ways to view history: one is pressing on the score on the top left hand side and the other is by the history tab on the bottom of the screen. My previous screenshot showed the 'score' method. You get a much larger view using the history tab. A combination of b) and c) has helped make the application perfectly usable on a mobile phone. ---- Potential bug I found it hard to disable the chat window. If you are in the main menu (and not at a table), pressing Account > Settings only gives you one entry under Chat viz. 'Show Lobby chat'. However, a second entry appears if you are at a table, 'Show chat'.
  7. Here is what the review screen looks like on a mobile phone. How anyone is supposed to view this with any comfort is beyond me :(
  8. BTW, there seems to be a problem rendering Unicode characters. I kibbed a game in which M Grönkvis was playing, but "ö" did not display properly.
  9. Android version 5.0.4 on a mobile phone. The UI/UX is very disappointing; everything is too small: text, menus, cards, bidding box, and kibbing is practically impossible. I have a phone with a good screen size (HTC One M8, 5" viewable screen), but my eyes are straining to see anything comfortably. In addition, I tried to rent a robot but was told I did not have enough funds in my account. I have 3.50 BB$.
  10. A few things: It would be nice to have a way to mark all items in the news feed as read. I created a challenge, which I could not see until I exited to the home screen, and then re-entered the Challenges screen. To create a table in the main bridge club: I first have to decide between 'Casual' and 'Competitive' (It's not very intuitive that it is Casual is the one I want) Start A Table Start An IMP Pairs Table Then I get to choose between 'Competitive Game' and 'Relaxed Game'. Hmm .. I've already said I don't want a Competitive game .. confusing. The Challenges option is a nice addition. Thanks!
  11. Thank you all for your replies. I was playing with my mum, who told me afterwards that that she thought he was very rude; I just assumed that he was correct. I'll know the next time! Though, hopefully I won't revoke again :)
  12. A couple of weeks ago I accidentally revoked, and won the trick by ruffing. I did not win any subsequent trick, so I understand that the penalty against our side should have been 1 trick. However, I think that the manner in which the opponent notified me about the revoke may have been illegal: I made the revoke at about trick 8. When I played to trick 11, my opponent reached over to my discarded pile, and without asking, turned the cards face up, and then announced that I revoked. I'm a beginner, so I got a bit embarrassed, apologized, and accepted it when he told me that it was a two trick penalty [i checked this afterwards, and think that it should have been one] . I've also no idea if I did actually revoke, as I never was shown the lead to trick 8. My queries are: A ) Had he the right the examine my discarded pile B ) What is the correct procedure in 'replaying' trick 8 (and presumably subsequent tricks) to prove that I did revoke Many thanks!
