Please tell me the correct opening bid when you hold 5 - 5 in minors, 17+ HCP. I know the correct first bid if you hold 5 -5 in majors, is to bid the higher suit first, but what if you hold 5 clubs and 5 diamonds, with a hand worth showing adverse holding? Thank you for answering me. Peppygal

One of the problems that can arise is an individual promising to appear and play, but for one reason or another cannot access an online. Sooner or later most people have problems with connectivity. But if this happens the team captain can set a deadline for his members to sign in, and if they are not there at the deadline the team captain should be allowed to find a sub elsewhere.

Almost any new endeavor can run into obstacles. The IAC Team Challenge is a worthwhile project, I believe enthusiastically received. One method of dealing with no-shows may be to blacklist them (unless they have a good excuse) as some of the free tournaments do. I would not like the team games to be eliminated and I believe the majority of the participants feel the same way.

Tony, I believe in the most basic ethics in most people. And I believe that most people do not indulge in partnership agreements that are contrary to the ethics of this wonderful game. But thank you for taking time to think about my posting. Peppygal :unsure:

I have been awarded slightly more than 500 acbl points, but that does not make me an excellent player. However, I firmly believe a regular partnership can benefit both partners. Is there anyone here who would be interested in forming a regular partnership? It can be tested in one of the separate rooms, if preferred.
