I love this series. I wonder if it's because I have not read the books amd have no expectations?

I read. I enjoy. I rarely post. I would like to be able to let posters know that what they are posting is appreciated. I suspect I am not alone. This rule is just silly. And I suspect the responses I get from this will be a clear indication of why many of us are lurkers.

If your partner doesn't normally do it, what does old fashioned have to do with it?

So, my partner says 3rd or 4th seat is allowed. I say, standard or partnership agreement? He, who reads and highlights everything that seems interesting, says " well um partnership agreement." Is it worth agreeing to? I kinda like knowing that 1nt means a real 1nt bid, so I'm reluctant. Am I wrong?

I loved it! For those of you who read the books and watched the series would you recommend that those of us who have not read the books still need to read them? Loved the cliffhanger ending!

I suspect I am representative of the "mass market." I didn't read the books, and I only watched the first two episodes based on this thread. I loved them, and cannot wait for more! p.s. If you have HBO, you can use HBO GO to watch all things HBO online.
