How would you understand dbl in: 1♥ - pass - 2♥ - pass pass - DBL Is it for takeout or penalty?

Last evening, a strange thing happened in the club where I play duplicates. Two score travelers disappeared before entered into the comp. The session had 10 tables, 30 boards, Mitchel movement, Butler scoring. What is TD supposed to decide: - to annul entire session; or - to announce results as it is; or - to do some result modification? Though the competition is the official one, it appeared to be very important issue to all participants. Can anyone give me a hint?

I am a little bit confused with the announcement procedure. A week ago, my partner opened 1NT, I tapped the alert card and immediately said "fifteen to seventeen". LHO called TD, and TD said I had to keep quiet until opponents ask for our 1NT range. I thought I had to announce right away without being asked. The Bridge Law books don't go into such details (or I read wrong books). Where can I find "alerts and announcement for dummies" explanation?

I've found info on some bridge tournaments saying that the competition format will be "Danish system" . What does that mean ? I understand that it differs from Swiss competition slightly, but I'd like detailed info. Where can I find full description of the system? Thanks.

HI, I just noticed that in BBOFLASH there is wrong flag for my country (Serbia). The country flag is OK in old Win version.

Is defender's "faster, please" allowed while declarer tries to plan his/her play? Can it be judged as illegal information to his/her partner ? Is it subject to a penalty ? I am having in mind club tournaments, not BBO ones. Thanks.

After my RHO opened 1NT, I doubled with 16 HCP and 4432 distrib. LHO passed and my partner bid 2Clubs. Though not familiar with the partner, I switched to 2H (four cards) and it was final contract, easily made, we gained IMPs. My partner said 2C was Stayman !? Was it ? What is your opinion of this?
