  1. This occurs almost everytime the chat is open to kibbitzers when the tourney is ending: some players having played their last board start writing a comment about it, unfortunately their table is suddenly closed and their message is automatically redirected (from their room) to the tourney, so that some (usually interesting) info is eventually delivered to all the players still playing. No need to say it may (and does often) cause some trouble. I suggest those messages would be redirected to the main lobby (or sent nowhere, because the original destination does not exist anymore) rather than to the tourney lobby. Thanks for your attention.
  2. I suggest you try the option to see its effect! :P I have no doubt it is easy to detect when some player has it on. (Thus it also informs about the absence of singletons!) About the UI issue, here are two examples among many of the same kind: - Declarer holds KJxxx and dummy Axxx in some suit. He cashes the Ace first, but when doing this he can see his LHO had a singleton: "easy" and not fair to try the Q finesse then... - As a defender you win a trick led by the declarer, but you could see/detect your partner's remaining singleton. Then you know he may ruff your return in that suit... To solve this problem and those related to the playing and bidding tempos (still allowing the auto-play option for convenience), I would suggest that: 1) no card could appear to be played in less than 1 seconde at the table 2) no bid could appear to be made in less than, say, 2 or 3 secondes (for instance fast passes or doubles are sometimes meaningful I think) Of course every BBO game is not a world championship, but I believe it would improve the game fairness. -- Bruno
  3. Hi everybody, Among the many user options provided by the BBO software, there is an "autoplay singletons" one in the section entitled "at a table". Surprisingly I just realized I can't activate it anymore (has it been removed already?), but frequently (not so often actually, less than once per day) I can see some players using it (through an old software version?). My suggestion, if not done yet, would be not to allow this option anymore. The reason is simple: when on, "by definition" it shows to every other player at the table that there was a remaining singleton in the suit led! (Because the card is then played super fast.) Thus it gives some unauthorized info to both partner and opps. Thanks for your attention. Bruno
