He open 2♣, and I have this huge hand in front of me... [hv=s=sq72hakjt87daq2c6]133|100|[/hv] I did had to count again because I tought that there was more than 40HCP on this board, but counted at leat 38 on our side, so a Q may be out... Hi All, I just played a game where I was prempted at the level 4 <_< more precise 4♠ I had this hand and decide to pass my partner in the end just said, what went wrong p we had 27 HCP on our line... Hi, When I got the hand, and counted 18 HCP + at least 12HCP points from 1♦ partner opening... I knewn it was something above game or at least I would want to try 30 HCP must try at least small slam... and good ♥ suit, at the first bid I didn't had any doubt that I would overcall the 1♠ of the opponent to show a color change to force partner to rebid... When I saw the 3♦ I tought we would have a strenght in ♦ more than the 4 needed to open... 6 no doubt due to my KQ, if 5card suit it would be somehow weak for a 3♦... but I wanted to show him that I also had strenght in ♥ and a possible slam, maybe I should have accepted ♦ has trump and beging blackwood, also the ops overcall didn't help the flow of the biding. ty Pedro Gil

Hi, Not the chance of doing it, if u "Novice" and playing with all "Advance" players I tend to assume that it's me that don't known what I'm doing :blink: And review hands later, and try to understand what went good/bad... Also I can't understand the overcall's of the ops, is that any method that I don't known, or is only to bug (done effective) the grand slam ;) Thanks all for the enlight answers Pedro

Hi All, Just making questions to understand my limitations of "Novice" better ;) For me this would fall in the Limit Raise 11-12 range with 3+card trump support. Did I understand the Limit Raise bid wrong? Should I only do Limit Raise if 3card trump? Thanks for the answers... Pedro

Hi All, That was my first post at this forum, and I may say that I'm impressed :) I will use it frequentlly to help me improve in my Bridge ;) Thank u all for the kind responses, and excuse me for my stiff English :D I understood completly the no fear of the 3NT, I have the A♥ and partner has at minimum a doubleton at ♥, so a stopper is in place. and the 26 minimum points make this a attactive 3NT. BBO hand I had 11 HCP and my partner open 1NT, I had also 4♠ so I decide to use stayman to see if we could get a 8-card major fit... Well I tought I could get a negative or positive answer 2♦ or 2♥ / 2 ♠ but my partner bid 2NT, well can't understand that at the moment neither now, so I just bid a 3♣ natural hoping that my partner understand it... I made the 3♣ but still don't understand the answer of 2NT to stayman.
