  1. A question for the techos :) I have written some database structures plus code to logically generate Full Disclosure cards for use in BBO. I have done the work for my normal card where I can generate a file which uses generic definitions (such S1=Suit at 1-Level, S0=cheapest new suit etc.) plus bolt on bidding units which will create a card of 1000 lines - so far. I can change the table definitions and then export a new FD Card. The stuff works but I am now grappling with the issues of different positions and vulnerabilities. I have found that you have to create extra lines of bid definitions which are not intuitive. For instance: 001H=NYYYYYY34812+ | 4+!H | Better suit if 4M/4m Minimum 601HP2C=YNNNNNND00Drury 2Cover 1H 3rd/4th Seat Because the 2nd line exists the first line is ignored because a line starting 60 is expected. It doesn't assume that nothing happens until a Seat/Vul branch is required. What I am after is the processing logic of how Full Disclosure uses the Seat and Vulnerability settings so I can continue to develop the code base without doing things that are not necessary. If anyone out there can help me with this stuff, I would be very appreciative. :o Regards, brownbear
  2. BBO allows sets of hands to be uploaded for use in Teams Matches. What I am after is the same facility for use with Partnership Bidding. This is a terrific training facility but would be extra useful if hands sets could be uploaded for specific purposes. Both teaching programs and training for serious players or representative teams could make use of such a facility. Also, BBO could provide sets of boards which would be bidding challenges. Bridge World, for example, could provide access to their bidding challenges on BBO for a small fee. Doing those by copying bits of paper does not work very well and takes a lot of time. Maybe the facility already exists (I can only hope). If it does not, is there any chance it will be made available in the forseeable future? Thanks in anticipation, brownbear
  3. I want to build Full Disclosure files for my use and to assist with training new BBO users at our state club with active online system cards. I have the time to build files but want to know the syntax of the lines. Sample lines from one of the provided cards (bss file in my BBO folders): *00{Std English ACOL }=NYYYYYY4 Card Mjrs Weak NT Strong 2's 001C=NYYYYYY24811-19* Rule of 20 applies 001CP1N=NYYYYYY26-9 Balanced no 4 Card Major 001CP1NP2C=NYYYYYY258No 4 Card major weak hand 11-14 001CP1NP2D=NYYYYYY548Strong Jump Shift 17+HCP The basic structure seems to be: 1. Prefix, mostly 00 2. Bidding Sequence then an equals sign 3. Seven Y/N symbols often as NYYYYYY 4. A number or other code string such as A08! 5. Descriptive text to show. Can anyone help with what this all means, especially the sequence of Y/N values and the code between them and the text that will be displayed? Thanks, brownbear
