Hello, i can not find BBO android app in Google play anymore.Any ideas ?

Hello, I am member of BBO for more than 15 years i guess.I usually play at tables and robot tournaments lately.I have a regular partner for a while and we decided to join some BBO tournament, but it says that my TCR is lower than expected to join the tournaments.In the past i played tournaments a lot and never had such problems.I tried several tournaments and always the same message.I tried to buy some BBO Dollars, played some tournaments but it did not affected my TCR rating at all.It says "UNKNOWN". It is really very frustrating.Please let me now which tournaments i should play to increase my TCR.It is kind of weird that BBo wants you to have some Completion rating, but does not allow you to play and achieve it.

Hello, today i accidentaly found a way to cheat in the daylong survivors tournament.It is a very strong one so i want to share it and if it is possible to be fixed. I started the third day of the 3 day survivor and i played two deals.It came the third one.The bidding was 1♣ - 2♦ - dbl - pass - 3♣ - all pass and my robot partner passed with 14 points as a responder.After the lead was made i saw 3NT+2 was cold so affected with my partner i closed the BBO program :). After that i had some work to do at home and started BBO 2 hours after that. I wanted to continue the survivor tournament and i was surprised when i saw that the same deal was restarted and i could bid the deal again...WTF ... ok i knew we have 3NT so after 1♣ - 2♦ - dbl - pass - i bid 3NT (i had the Ax in diamonds)...but my robot partner bid 4♥ over my NT. When the lead was made i saw we are on 4 ♥ with 4-3 fit and no chance to make so played until trick 12 to see distribution, than closed BBO again. Waited two hours and logged again. As i expected the deal was restarted to bidding again.... So i was thinking how can i play in NT so...i opened 1♦ (had only Ax) to stop op overcall in 2♦. 1♦ - pass - 1♥ - pass - 3NT - result : 3NT+2 and top board 90%. I think this hole should be fixed because if someone have time and desire it is possible to have very high results in every tournament. Just start playing and when you make error play 12 tricks see distribution quit BBO, come back two hours later and start bidding again.Instead taking "Bottom" take a "Top".In a regular 12 board tournament it is possible to make this 5 to 6 times (2 hours wait for each bad break, or underbid contract) or just bid 3NT every time and if it goes wrong, see the hands, logs again and take a top. So the results of 85-90% in the final ranking will come. I always was wondering about so high results from weak players with 100 logins and no profile and cheating was one of the explanation i gave to my self. Now i think i found one of their ways..... Please BBO fix this.....

My partner left, yes.But id not care about that. It was interesting deal and i wanted to share without the idea someone to defend his or her self.And well i think that you statistic is not measurement of strength of players. I do not have time to check other players but my results were +0.8 some months when playing with regular partners more often and - 0.05 as you pointed when playing only random partners for few deals.That is why BBO refuses to make players ratings system.

The deal is very real :) I just sit at the table and this was the first deal.After that my partner run away and we were 23 imps behind :) LOL I was sitting North i admit.I do not like my 4♦ bid because if my partnter is 5-0-4-4 how i imagined i can pass the rdbl and wait for him to bid again.3♥ and dbl for penalty was also very bad bids in my oppinion.rdbls ....what to say about it :)

Hello i had this deal some time ago. I was playing on a table with three named Experts and met the current deal. Now i look at the deal and asking my self who made the worst bid.It was like domino effect.Once started could not be stopped.The dissaster....a big one. :) East oppened quiet 2♥, South overcalled 2♠, West passed with the idea to dbl later, and North passed becouse he is weak.East overcalled 3♥??, than South dbld thinking it is for penalty, West redoubled fort takeout, and than North thinking dbl of South is for takeout in diamonds and clubs, and rdbl of West is serious bid 4♦.South tried to fix things rdbling ♦ and that was the final contract.Almost every bid here deserve 1st place for worst one.Which one would you chose ? :) [hv=pc=n&s=sjt643hak54dcak63&w=sak987hdat9652ct9&n=sq2h962dj8743cq74&e=s5hqjt873dkqcj852&d=e&v=n&b=2&a=2h2spp3hdr4dppdpprppp]399|300[/hv]

5.0.1 fixed the problem for me.After the update BBO appeared again on my home screen and worked like before.

I takes 6-7 taps on my Nexus 4.But...it always stay in portrait mode after i lock the screen rotation.There are some apps on google market that can do the job, but i do not like to use such apps for such simple tasks.No matter i can handle this little problem.The mobile client is great to play now :)

Yes if the defance is 2-2 in hearts -clubs he can pitch and set me.I did not say something different.jlI just think this line give better chances than try to ruff club because the defender could mess it....

Playing clubs do not give chance the defance to get wrong.He just overruff and slam is over.Playing diamonds seemed more atractive couse on trick three you put preasure on defance and if he have only two diamonds he must make desicion to ruff or not and if ruff the diamond we make the slam on any 6-3-2-2 distribution.

I have google nexus 4 with android kit kat.I have several games which involves thinking and they have such option and it works just fine on this phone.I suspect you are missing something.I do not like turing the global setting from os menu, But if there is no other way....i really enjoy mobile version ao i should handle this not working feature. P.S. Another feature i miss is locking app screen rotation.I chosee to play widescreen and when i move my phone the screen jumps from wide to portrait and back.

I play the mobile BBO version from my smart phone.The last version gave big improvements in the table section and the cards play is very easy now.I have only one suggestion.You should add option to prevent he screen of the device to turn off during play or watch.It is very annoying because i should touch the screen in every 10 or 20 seconds to prevent turning off manually.If i have some difficulties in the game and i need to think longer the display turns off and my idea is gone... :).It should not be default behaviour of the app because it is not very battery friendly, but we need this option as a switch in the setting menu.

This is the real deal.To throw everything on 3 clubs in South and to be ruffed at the very beginning was not acceptable so i decided to try something else.Instead of ruffing two times in dummy and 2 times in hand i decided to ruff once in dummy and three times in hand.So after i took the ♦ lead with K i played A ♦ and third ♦.The line i played is 100% if South has the three diamonds and also can wins in any 6-3-2-2 combination if in this moment South ruff this diamond.At this point he had not much info and may be he would not expect me to try this ruff from hand.Anyway in this deal South had the 3 ♦ in hand so my line did not give him chance. Again ruffing club with 3 of spades put the contract on risk at the very begining.It would also lose on the real deal.I will post it later when have more time.

Expecting doubler to have 6 trumps i think playing 3 rounds of clubs is risky at the beginning.The chances you got overruffed are very high.

This is a game from last week.I am not sure if the bidding was ok.May be 6NT was our better stop, but it happened this way.North - South both BBO Experts so after i saw the dummy two trumps i knew i would have a tough time making this slam.I did not lose hope and after the end of the game we finished with nice 1620. I just updated to 3.5 on my iphone4s . There is some general problem with the resolution or something... The text is a little bit fuzzy and difficult to read. After two three minutes my eyes refused to watch the screen :). The game field also have some similar problems but it is easier to see it on the small font text. I think that there is something with the app not with my eyes because other apps looks fine.

Thanks, i have never click "List interesting tables", because i understand "interesting" as something i will be happy to kibitz :). Now i see that it is some table selection.I will give it a try.Thank you for your answer.

Hi, I tried the web version several times but i always returned to the old one.Some of the features that was missing in the previos WEB versions are already there, but i still have problems joining tables in main club.In the WIN version i have active filter on the tables.The program shows only "free tables" and the players skill level is advanced+.So i have 20-30 tables to chose from.In the WEB version i open the main club and there are hundreds of tables.It take some time to see what players are playing and when i decide to join a table i press SIT button....but the place is already taken.The tables do not refresh automaticly.So i press refresh buton and start looking for table again.When it happens 2-3 times i just close the browser and start WIN version :) So...may be i am missing some WEB version functionallity or it is just happens this way.

I noticed some strange users with names zzzz_ (some four digits) on BBO.I know several players who have kibitcers with such names almost every time i sit on their tables.Is it some way of cheating ?Are they using the BBO flash version to log with different accounts or something, and look other players cards ?

I usually go to http://online.bridgebase.com/myhands/ than i search for my hands, than use the LIN button and open the file with my windows client.Then i rewind the first move and press the GIB button for double dummy analysis. I know that the browser version also have GIB for analys, but i like the old way couse the pictures of the cards are bigger : ) .No problem of course i can use the new version till the new release comes.

After i updated my BBO Windows client i am not able to watch analysis using GIB for the hands i have played.I see that GIB is still available in the browser version of the hand viewer. So.... is there any problem with the Windows client ?
