In general how do I respond to partner's opening 1 major bid if I have 12+ points and 3 card support but no 5 card suit. The same question with 4 card support. Opponents passed.
I opened 1 Nt with 15 p and balanced hand. opponent passed. My partner bid 2D !JACOBY). opponent bid 2 S. How do 1 complete the transfer? Another bid Patner opens with 1 Nt. I have 6 card H suit and would use 2d to transfer. However opponents ocercalled and 2 d is no longer available . How do i show my partner my hearts?
I read that to respond to a 1 major oppening with 4 card support and 11-12 points I jump 1s-3 s, but with 3 card support I firsr bid a new suit. Please give your opinion and how does this jive with conventions such as splinter bids and jacoby nt
