  1. Is there any way to bypass the "Are you sure you want to leave this page?" message?
  2. I have a brand new Samsung Galaxy SL (GT-I9003). Comes with Froyo and has Flash Player 10.1. Using the default browser (which I think is Google Chrome) I can get the client php login page but cannot enter any data. Tried installing Firefox for mobile, but it moans about needing Flash and won't even display the login box. Would welcome any info or advice.
  3. Being averse to underleading honours for me it is either 10♥ or a ♠. Probably favour the ♥ on the off chance that pard is void.
  4. Agree 100% Ideal hand if you play a multi 2♦ with 2♥/♠/NT showing 2 suiters (2NT for the minors)
  5. 2♠ asking for stopper. I would assume pard has the red suits covered.
  6. Actual bidding at table went:- P - P - 1♣ - P 1♠- P - 3♣ - P 3♦ - P - 3♠ - P ?? What now? The hands:- [hv=d=s&v=n&n=sa82hk5dj4cakq1094&s=sj543hj84daq65cj2]133|200|Scoring: IMP[/hv]
  7. [hv=d=s&v=n&s=sj543hj84daq65cj2]133|100|Scoring: IMP P - P - 1[CL} - P ??[/hv] What is your preferred response and why? Assuming response was 1♦ or 1♠ or even 1NT what do you do when pard bids 3♣?
  8. 2♦ is not the ideal bid with this hand since you do not have 12+ HCP. The standard bid would be 3♣ which leaves pard options and forces opps up one level. On this auction I would favour doubling 5♠
  9. I assume you use the word "player" with tongue in cheek? Precision does not preclude or exclude any conventions. There may be some that don't fit well with the system but by and large any conventions used in SAYC, ACOL, 2/1 can be used in precision. As with all systems it is a matter of partnership choice.
  10. Have a look at this PDF:- http://sites.google.com/site/jimwat1/PrecisionClub99.pdf it outlines the original C.C. Wei version of the system.
  11. I see nothing that would induce me to bid 5♦ unless opps bid ♥. I would pass 3♦ a hope they find a ♠ or ♣ fit.
  12. You can download this pdf which explains the C.C. Wei version of the system. http://sites.google.com/site/jimwat1/PrecisionClub99.pdf Any precision players on BBO are more than welcome to contact me with a view to conquering the world. B)
  13. Hear Hear!!! A much neglected bid in some circles. :) And yet there are other circles where it is much overused... That is also true. On this hand one could make a case for 3♥ but it may be best to wait and see if pard LHO or pard can speak again.
  14. Bit confused here. Are we discussing how to counter Capp (and other DONT systems) or which is the best way to counter opps 1NT opening?
  15. Hear Hear!!! A much neglected bid in some circles. :)
  16. I agree. This hand was sent to me by my old club partner and back in the day that is certainly how we would have interpretted the sequence. 2♦ = 8+ HCP and 5+♦ 2NT = 16-19 in our system (16-18 otherwise) 4♦ = solid suit (7/8+) headed by AKQ 4♥ would show first round control (hoping to hear 5♣) I just wanted to see how some of our modern theorists would approach it. :)
  17. You are dealer holding:- [hv=s=sakqxhaxxdxxckqxx]133|100|[/hv] Bidding goes:- 1♣ p 2♦ p 2NT p 4♦ p ?
  18. My committee reckons it has to be 2♥
  19. Assuming opps are silent :- 1♣ 1♠ 4♦ 4♥ 4NT 5♦ ??????????? do you have the cojones ????????
  20. Since I use ghestem with reg pards the heart says 2♥ is a possibility, but the head prefers pass.
  21. Since this all depends on partnership agreement I see little point in this type of post. However I guess it does let the various theorists hold forth on their particular idiosyncransies. Playing a bounce game instead of with a regular pard I would go:- 1. 4♠ 2. 4♠ 3. 6♠
  22. Been toying with a 3 way multi 2D for use in precision. This would be along the lines:- 1. Weak 2 in major 5-10HCP. 2. 22-24 balanced 3. 16+ 4441 Have searched various sites and publications but can find no published treatments of this type of opening. Any ideas anyone?
  23. [hv=d=w&v=b&s=sk64hdkq9762cakj3]133|100|Scoring: IMP Bidding :- 1♦ pass 1♥ pass ??[/hv] What is your rebid and why?
