I've noticed you are working on a new kind of tournament where everybody plays all the deals without delays and there's actually no such thing as "round". I think it's much better than the way it is now, but in my opinion you're going in a wrong direction. The best kind of tournament is a barometer where all the results are compared after each round and pairs with the same score play against each other(the only reason why not every offline tourney is made this way is the dificulty to organize it - but there's no dificulty online). On both commercial servers e-bridge and okbridge there are no other kinds of tourneys than barometers. I'm not a programmer so i don't know how dificult it is to make such thing but i'm sure everybody agrees it would be greatest fun. Have you thought of it? Is it dificult?

I wonder how U admins organize tournaments. What do you have to do? Is there a lot of work during the tourney? I'm really interested in directing such tournament. There are still not many tourneys, I have lot of time and I'd gladly help to organize some. I'd appreciate if you gave me some info on the software you use for tournaments and if it's possible to give sb the ability to direct a tourney or if only the admins can do it. In my opinion this is quite a good idea, but it's not so important. It would be of course fair to do such thing, but i don't think directors would have time and would feel like judging a few dozens of boards (cause I think there are lots of complains and there'd be much more if such posibility existed) after the tourney. It's a lot of work and we shouldn't forget that those tourneys are mainly for fun - the results are not that important (for me it's enough to know myself i played well).

I think it would be a good idea to save the tourney results somewhere. They shouldn't be deleted a few minutes after the tourney. It would be a good idea to make for example a topic where admins would paste all the results. Another idea is to make some ranking. For each tournament people could get some points, and they'd get some ranks (just as it is on real tourneys). It would be fun to be able to be for example a "player of the week, month" etc. I think such ranking would make the whole bridgebase much more popular and much more fun. The only problem is that when there's no ranking, there are no (or almost no) cheaters. I think there would be some people who would do anything to get high rank. I wonder what's Your opinion on those subjects. Is such thing dificult(possible) to make?
