  1. Perhaps those who don't psyche could mark that on their profile ;-) A psyche is a legitimate part of the game and you should expect your opponents to psyche occasionally. If they happen to get a good result a simple well done would seem to be appropriate. Then get on and play the next board. You should not expect psychers to escape from their trouble through a concealed partnership understanding. By all means mark someone or report someone who appears to have a concealed partnership understanding but not merely because they psyched. Wayne
  2. I protect or attempt to protect my learners by exposing them to psyches as a natural part of the game in an introductory set of lessons. This is usually not a pre-planned part of a lesson rather a natural brief discussion to the almost inevitable question about what happens if you do not have your bid. Answer: Nothing but you and your partner will probably get to the wrong contract. Sometimes you will benefit. Good luck. You can even deliberately 'lie' to try and deceive the opponents .... Wayne
  3. The would only need two levels: Student and Non-Student Wayne
  4. Hi Fred As one who manages a teaching table on a regular basis this is an excellent suggestion. When I am running a teaching session I have "permission required to join" set for players. This stops someone sitting but I sometimes get an inordinate number of requests from the lobby to sit when someone unexpectedly vacates a seat. This in spite of having a table note that requests players join the table before requesting permission to sit. Anyway any that gives me a smoother way to manage players at my teaching table would be welcomed :-) TIA Wayne
