Robert Wallace (died 10/06/2014) was head director in the American Bridge Association and directed many tournaments in the American Contract Bridge League also. He was 67.

The American Bridge Association summer national runs Thursday, July 31st through Saturday, August 9th. Hope people will be able to play. Game site is Crowne Plaza at Ravinia in Atlanta, Georgia.

If that's the case, why does the American Contract Bridge League host the "North American Bridge Championships?" ACBL does include Mexico, Canada, Bermuda and the United States. Many more members are all around the globe too.

In checking up on ACBL's website today (yeah all) the results of the top 200 in the online McKenney masterpoint race are in for the year 2010, effective 01/09/2011. There are also the top 100 in each category for members to review. Congratulations to all and have a great 2011.

Does anyone have any time that they give up the game they love in order to pursue an alternate activity? One year I actually gave up playing at my home regional in order to go to Scotland. Another year I also gave up ideas to play the NABCs and ABA Nationals in order to go to Italy. What event would cause you to willingly cancel a bridge playdate?
