  5. You hold a hand: none vs Vul (opps) S AQxxx H 9876 D xxx C x Assume you play 2/1 and you hear an auction: p(you)-p-1H(your pd)-1S(LHO) ? (you) Please choose your answer and give a short comment. Why I can't post the poll? I list them here: 1.Pass 2.1nt 3.2h 4.2s 5,3h 4,4h
  6. 1c-1h-1s-2d (4gf)-3c(5+C)-4c(slam interest, otherwise 5C)-4D(cuebid)-4NT (rkcbld)-5H(2key cards, but how to show h void here?), then I am not sure if there is any way to show s king as the trump is club.
  7. NF. First of all, both sides showed a limited hand by 2c and 2NT. 2NT iwas invitational and showed a hand with <6 S and <2H and stopper on d. 3D was not forcing but probably invitational because of limited 2C. 3D should show a 0544 hand and ask partner to decide where to go depending on what he had.
  8. No one to be blame for EW. 4H is not easy. There are four losing tricks: 2C, 1S and 1D. It is reasonable for East to downgrade his hand with 10 bad points and ugly shape to bid 2H. West had no interest to explore further after the passive 2H raise. Nobody would bid further except their side are in desperate situation. I want to address my point: Don't judge the bidding course by results, but by rationale of your system.
  9. What is the point to show your long club suit after partner's splinter on it? I would think 5c as inquiry about c and partner answer as, in the case that trump is major, 5d void and 5H singlton.
  10. I am sorry to say the bidding course is the ugliest I have ever seen.
  11. 2D 100 all the other bids 000000000000000000000000
  12. There are three options for me after 3c strong jumpshift: 3D, 3S and 4c. First of all, 4s is out of scope because this hand is too strong for this limited raise. I believe that 3S would be choice of the most players due to the apparent reason. 4c could be second choice. But 3D is my choice after analysis of the hand. There isn't very good support to partner in that two suits and diamond could be the hole for the 6 Spade, which I believe the likely final contract for most 3S bidders. The advantage of 3D is its flexiblity. It is a strong reponse and doesn't deny anything about S and C. It leaves more space and fore partner to further describe his hand. It also protect the weakest suit of the hand esp. when I am trying to play 6NT. I believe the 6NT would be the best contract if slam is possible.
  13. I would definetely pass with this hand, bad points (Aceless) and almost the worst shape 4432.
  14. I totally agree with your 4H and your intereptation. Your partner's x should guarantee at least 4 cards of heart, and probably 4 cards of another minor as well. Therefore 2H by LHO should be sort of limited raise on Spade and your 4H should never be treated as cuebid showing strong hand and monster suit of your first bid.
