  1. I always use Stayman with such hands unless the hand shape is exactly 4M-3-3-3.
  2. Can you please write the bidding sequence using parentheses around opponents' bids? When it's written this way it's impossible to answer.
  3. Over natural 1♣ opening (2+ cards), we play Walsh, so 1♦ bid denies 4M unless responder has at least invitational hand. Also, after 1NT rebid by opener, we play Two-way checkback: 2♣ is transfer to 2♦ which responder passes with weak hand and diamonds or bids on with invitational hand, and 2♦ is game forcing relay. Suppose you have two sequences like this: [hv=d=n&v=0&b=1&a=1cp1dp1n(May%20have%204M)2cdp]133|100[/hv] [hv=d=n&v=0&b=1&a=1cp1dp1n(May%20have%204M)2ddp]133|100[/hv] How do you treat partner's Dbl in above sequences? Is it a "stolen bid" double, or negative double or something else?
  4. [hv=pc=n&s=skj875ht94dcakq43&n=sahaqj52da2cjt986&d=n&v=0&b=1&a=1hp1s2d3c4d]266|200[/hv] How should we continue bidding on this board? We play SAYC-like system, RKCB 0314 (if needed). 3♣ bid shows better than minimum hand (we bid minimum competitive hand via Good-Bad 2NT). Please help, which bid by South is the best to investigate slam?
  5. [hv=pc=n&w=sk85haq7d98c76543&d=e&v=e&b=6&a=1n3d?]133|200[/hv] IMPs What is your bid here? Assume standard methods, i.e. 1NT is 15-17, new suit is forcing, and double is negative.
  6. I bid 2♥. No need for jumping to 3♥, because it's forcing.
  7. Of course, but keep on your mind that you can't simply bid 3NT... just write down bidding sequence that leads to 3NT!
  8. [hv=pc=n&s=s7532hkt9dk96caq6&n=saha765da87cjt543&d=n&v=0&b=1&a=1c1s?]266|200[/hv] Assuming standard methods, SAYC or BridgeWorld standard (it doesn't really matter which one), what is your bid with South hand?
  9. That means that both 2♣ and 2♦ bids are artificial. 2♣ forces 2♦, which you can pass to play there or you can bid your invitational hand naturally. 2♦ is GF relay, asking for more information, pretty much like ordinary checkback, but is always GF.
  10. 2♣: majors 2♦: mini multi (weak two in one major) 2♥: ♥+m 2♠: ♠+m 2NT: minors all legal, no brown stickers :)
  11. OK, then I'll post direct links: http://www.ecatsbridge.com/documents/files/ConventionCards/2010Ostend-european/OpenTeams/germany/piekarek-smirnov.pdf http://www.ecatsbridge.com/documents/files/ConventionCards/2008MindSportGamesBeijing/U26/Poland/Nowo-Wian.pdf
  12. It's look more like standard, except that 1♣ is forcing, and can also be strong club. I attached two convention cards, so you can take a look on this methods. Nowosadzki-Wiankowski.pdf piekarek-smirnov.pdf
  13. Last year on European Universities Championship I saw one Polish pair play 1♣ as 12-14NT, 11+ with ♣ or 18+ any, freeing 2♣ opening for some other hands (i.e. both majors, preemptive). How did they manage to do this, I don't know, and if someone know, I'd like him/her to share that wisdom with us. Also, studying WJ2005 I noticed there's no way to bid 18+ one-suited ♦ hand after 1♣ opening and 1♦ response.
  14. I'd say it doesn't have to show real diamonds, just 4 spades, and can be balanced, because 1nt rebid is 12-13 in that case, and you may miss 2♠ contract. On the other hand, in my own Precision where we play 1NT=12-14, i'd play that sequence shows real diamonds, unbalanced hand, because 1NT rebid would show 15-16 BAL, and partner, who responded to opening almost for sure has invitational hand with 8+ points (else passes), so we can find spades using some kind of checkback sequence.
  15. I'd like to know if following conventional openings are classified as brown-sticker conventions: 2 Diamonds opening that is either weak two in Hearts OR one-suited semiforcing in Diamonds simillary, 2 Hearts opening that is either weak two in Spades OR one-suited semiforcing in Hearts. Thanks in advance!
  16. This one is only for online viewing, so, if it's possible, please upload it so we can download it. Thanks!
  17. Assume playing standard 15-17 no-trump (5-card suit is possible). What are recommended bids (both by opener and his/her partner) after RHO doubles pd's Stayman, assuming that double is lead-directing?
  18. I have my own system written in FD and would like to print it. Is there any way I can parse it to HTML, XML or any other "printable" file format?!
  19. Bidding goes like this: 1♥ P 1NT P ? Hand is minimum (12-14/15) with 5♥-4♠-2-2, and 2/1 GF system, with forcing 1NT is played. Please help! Thanks in advance
