I will let readers decide whether the descriptions were or not clear. The tournament invitation is now in a post for all to read and judge for themselves. As far as a suggestion for clearer descriptions, Vincenzo be serious you don't need me to tell you how to write clearly and openly you just have to do it! And yes "this useless polemic" is now closed and so is my association with BBOITALIA Luca

uday, I will follow your suggestion from now on, however as stated and shown in my long post you just merged (from the other forum, sorry again about that) my attempt to resolve via email was unsuccessful and not knowing any other way I came back here.

uday, is there a way to review past tournament invitations/descriptions? Thanks Luca

Vincenzo, I strongly disagree with your statement that your policies are stated clearly and cannot be misunderstood. The proof? This forum discussion. I invite you to contact my pard lunn to see if I am the only one who did "misunderstand". I noticed today that the description of your upcoming tournaments have changed, are clearer and no longer make any mention of price amount. That might be an improvement, but at the same time the fact that happened in coincidence with this discussion is also curious. In any case at this point either you can show me proof of your "clearly stated policy" for the tournament I am refering to, or I request the promised price be awarded to me and my pard. I filed the same complaint by mistake also in the "BBO Tournamnet Discussion Forum" Luca

lucat started following BBOITALIA $ won, where do they go?
-
I have posted on this previously, but at the time I thought it was just a mistake they would correct. A few days ago I won with my p one of the BBOITALIA tournaments. From what I recall the invitation stated a price of $6+ and smaller prices for 2nd and 3rd if they had registered at least 30 min before start. Not having seen anything credited to my account I posted a question to this forum and it was suggested I get in touch with BBOITALIA and they would take care of it. So I did and received unsatisfactory explanations on the alledged reason for price refusal. At first I was told the kind of tournament I had entered paid prices only to the first 50 in some BBOITALIA classific. Then the second message said that policy does not even apply to all the "PRESTIGE" tournaments as it can actually change with each and of course who can prove what the one I won said. I cannot prove anything, but neither my partner or me recalls any sign of such a policy being mentioned. I know BBOITALIA is an important group within the BBO site and because of that I am even more surprised to be running into this problem, I cannot believe I am the only person who did. I am asking that the matter be investigated by BBO. If this is not the place to do it, would somebody please tell me how and where to file my complaint. The text of my email correspondence with BBOITALIA is pasted below. If you need translation of the Italian text, I can provide it. Per qualsiasi chiarimento resto a tua disposizione Omero -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- From: gtovini@charter.net To: omeroj@hotmail.com Subject: RE: Won tournament Date: Fri, 26 May 2006 08:41:09 -0400 Hi Omero, Ti ricordo (I’ll remind you) implies I should have known it. Well I did not and neither did my partner. But now that I know I have done some research to find signs or mentions of this policy on the BBOItalia web site and on the invitations to upcoming tournaments and I found none. By the way there is not one PRESTIGE tournament for couples currently on the schedule so I cannot check that. There is however a PRESTIGE individual and that one does not mention anything about this policy. I think that even if you can show me something that shows the policy somewhere (and I am curious where), the same will remain at the very least very poorly published and equates to questionable advertisement. I hope you can show me that I am wrong. I won a tournament organized by BBOITALIA. The first place price as I understand it was from $6 to $10. I cannot find record of those $'s in my BBO account. Are they credited somewhere else?

♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ I would like to find a partner with whom to schedule play and tournaments online. I much rather play with someone I get to know and is comparable to me in skill level. I rate myself advanced and for now I use the standard SAYC bidding system with the following "toys": SAYC, Std Bkwd or 0314RKC, Gerber on NTopenings, Michaels cuebids, Stayman, Jacoby + Texas transfers, Splinters, UnNT ... we can add as we go along. I have played a lot in my high scholl and college years. Later I did not play much other than against the computer for about 20 years. I have picked it up again recently and I am playing in tournaments both in clubs and online. If you are interested, pls email me :D :) :o gtovini@charter.net :) :) :o ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥

How do you get in touch with a player who is online but not in the lobby or any play rooms. (when you look for him by username he is shown just online). A typical application is when you go through finding a partner for a tournament, you invite someon and he accepts your invitation and now you would like to contact him to discuss conventions. I have not found a way to do this. Does anybody have a suggestion? It seems that it should be possible.
