  1. Im not sure I wanna be in 7 diamond. As I can see it needs spade 3-3 unless diamond is 2-2. That is about a 70% grand slam. Get me to 6 diamond or better 6NT Im happy. Will give a solid plus in any tournament. 1d-1h-dbl 1s-2h (2H is a general game force 3d-4d (This is the hard choise. Sign off 3N or go for a slam) 4h-4s (Que bids) 4n-5c (0314) 5n-6c (club king) 6n or 7d gamble (can count 12 winner now. 3+1+6+2. 13 if 4th spade is good or can be ruffed or covered with queen club or something)
  2. Open 1♠ and rebid 5♥. Partner would lift with a keycard then I hope :)
  3. after this auction this hand is empty. nothing more to do here so I pass
  4. if I played my reg. pd. ♥2 promise Kxx so I play J♥ and switch ♠5 pd probably has his spadetrick(s) originale. play like this to let this declearer try to make up his own mess ;)
  5. when we played this hand yesterday my pd continued 3♦ after my supp. dbl. And then it went: 3♥ 3♠ 4♣ 4NT 5♣ and for some reaseon he now bid 6♥! that was 1 down (hearts didnt break but ♣King was onside) 5♣ was 3 aces with diamond trumphs, so 6♦ should be obvious now. :P
  6. pass! I have a shitty hand. we can have a nice chance to beat 2S and my pd can have few diamonds.. all bids but pass is far to risky
  7. [hv=d=n&v=b&w=sakhk1097dq854cqj3&e=s1052haq2dkj972ca5]266|100|[/hv] Starting auction like this (SAYC): pass 1♦ pass 1♥ 1♠ DBL(x) pass .... (x) 3card ♥-support How would you continue to reach the nice 6♦-slam (no further interventions from opposition). zimzam
  8. If spadelead is most likely 5-card (you dont tell anything about that) I would play Ace of club and small club. if spadelead is more likely 4-card I play for Hearts running and see what happens. There can be several different ways to play after the hearts depending on defenders discarding. :P
  9. LHO 2♦ bid is a invitational++ raise so 4♥ is obvious I think. If pd doesn't dbl 4S I'll sacrifice in 5 as well.
  10. My 1♣ opening style is for bidding space and possible slam aucion, but off course I could be forced to 5 level next round anyway. 5♣ is putting tremendous pressure on opps I agree
  11. [hv=d=s&v=b&s=sakxhdxckxxxxxxxx]133|100|[/hv] Considerations about opening bid with this hand as dealer all vul? IMP / Matchpoints differences? My style is opening 1♣ but others say 3,4 or 5♣ zimzam
  12. A beginnerhistory from BBO I have a friend who want to learn bridge, so he registered at BBO totally green. Vi had som lessons in bidtraining, where he learned counting points and opening bidding. We decided to play some hands against some friends of mine and we were supposed to bid totally natural and without any conventions, just to learn the first steps :-) This hand was one of his first bridgehands ever!: Magne A108xx x KQxx Kxx Me 9 AJ1098xx Ax xxx Me Magne 3H pass 3S! x 3NT pass pass x pass pass xx! pass pass pass Jack of spades led Ace won. The small heart forced the queen an Ace and the next heart forced the King. Clubshift to Ace and a new club. Claim +2. 1800 scored and then my friend Magne asks: "Was that good?" LOL zimzam
  13. by counting points here, partner must have a extremly ♥-shaped weak HP-hand. 4♥ must be the bid. Highly probably communication problems in 3N. 4H I think will give 2 spade 5+ hearts, 1 diamond and 2 club-tricks.... or something close to that
  14. I mean 1♦ is best. Lets hope opps bid spade. then you have a perfect 4♥ exclusion blackwood rebid. you probably end up in 5,6 or 7♦
