Hello, I have been a reader of the bbo forums for a while and a mac user. Unfortunately, I can't download the bridge base software because I am a mac user. I am just wondering when the bridge base software will be compatible for macs.....?
I started when I was 15. I am now 17. One day I decided to learn and I went online played on pogo without knowing a thing and was quickly dismissed by even bad players. About a month later I decided to study read and I played constantly online. Once I felt somewhat comfortable I went to the local duplicate club and said I could play. I kibbitzed the first time and a nice woman gave me Watson's the play of the hand. Since that point I have been obsessed. Now I play duplicate regularly.
Count 3-3-3-4 and alternate colors when sorting hand. I like to do this under the table security thing. "The most horrible way of doing this is by picking up the cards 1 by 1 and putting them into place. This takes ages, taking lots of playing time."-Gerben42 Unfortunately my partner does it that exact way and it does take playing time. Oh well......
"it is tough to see how to investigate slam" I guess thats my true question how does one investigate slam with this hand. The bidding went 1H-2c-2h-4nt-5c pass .I bid 4nt out of desperation it wasn't the correct bid technically but I felt that if I had another ace slam was plausible. Funny enough 5c didnt make losing 2 spades and a diamond. -Eli
