  1. I think it does help. When the basic is automatic, then the defender gets the habt of counting shape without even thinking, and he can do the thinking about more complicated stuff (counting tricks, inferences, honor locations). I think it helps advanced and lesser developed players. When I use it, it just sends me back too far and I forget the other stuff. Guess I'm claiming to be better than advanced...somehow... I hate when Mom starts talking about me at two years old in front of company. The drooling...the drooling...
  2. I believe the current Firefox rendering is sufficient for 95% plus of visitors ;)
  3. With an html skilled data entry proficient person armed with a paper hand record, this webpage and some study can result in hand records that can be posted online in 23 minutes. The generator, requires Internet Explorer, is at: http://eastontario.com/handStories/entry.htm A product sample derived from that page and cross browser compatible is at: http://eastontario.com/handStories/060706ehands.htm Links from that page offer quick deal description opportunities (at least IE and Firefox), for example: http://eastontario.com/handStories/handTEM...111010322031123 and after entering auction from that page and clicking REFRESH: http://eastontario.com/handStories/handTEM...111010322031123 which can be mailed as a link to report a deal and auction. From that same page, clicking the "Make Declarer South" button rotates and launchs deal in: http://eastontario.com/handStories/handTEM...333131200123302 Clicking next the "Email Friends" link on that page launchs default email program to send link describing that story: mailto:editForYourFriendsEmailAddress@eastontario.com?subject=Bridge Story Link&body=Here's a deal and auction you might enjoy! That IE/Firefox compatible page can generate cross browser compatible simple html code for stories such as: http://eastontario.com/handStories/260z1c2...31200123302.htm Feedback welcome. Sponsoring organization to underwrite further research in many directions sought. ;)
  4. Please visit the following page with partner/teacher to test your signalling skill: http://eastontario.com/conventions/signalling2.htm Feedback welcome. Currently it is ONLY REALLY INTERNET EXPLORER compatible. bridge@eastontario.com (beta could use suggestions) :P
  5. "ochinko" suggested earlier that it wasn't Firefox compliant. I haven't tested it in Firefox. I think there's some Netscape problem too. It's worked in all the version combinations of IE that I've tried. There's no timer for this page.
  6. Please visit a recently edited page that might help you reinforce the idea of COUNTING in bridge. http://eastontario.com/conventions/count2.htm It's like a game that will help you develop skills in determining deal distributions. It's FREE! Your feedback welcome. Currently it is ONLY INTERNET EXPLORER compatible. Anyone interested in making it compatible with such as Firefox and Netscape please feel free. bridge@eastontario.com :)
