My partner opens the bidding at ♦; that tells me she's got at least 4 ♦ and 13 points; i've got 13 points, and 5♠. What should i have bid to let my partner know that i've got all these points? I think i should have bid 2NT or 3♠. what should i have bid?

i think she was counting 2 for the singleton. lately i've told her not to do this, because i read it somewhere. going forward i'll post in the beginners forum. i did notice it, but only after i posted this.

mystery solved, thanks to you!! The person did leave right after. How were you able to pull this game up?

it was repeated. 2nd time it had the person's first name, Judy. it was coming from partner, and 2nd time it said, "Judy 2sa"

i presume then that 2 "without any" means 2 "without any trump". but was one telling the other what to bid? if so, that seems against the rules. i'm new so maybe i'm missing something. thanks, again. Terry
