  1. I entered a SKY $1 tourney and I forgot to check the prize money. Turns out they have $5 prize money for 16 entries, that is over 50% rake. Even poker sites only take 5% rake. All the other tourneys also seem to have too much rake, i know now why only so few people play tourneys at bbo.
  2. We would like some BB$ tourneys without weekly or monthly prizes. More immediate prize money please. Just turn all the money into prize money and BBO points and a TD fee. Many people just can not play often enough to get into the FAMOUS TOP 10 BLABLA HUGE WINNERZ, but they do like tourneys with (immediate) prizes and BBO points.
  3. > [Fred] A new way to use BBO. My guess is that they are turning it into a webapplication. Great! That way they also don't have to port anything anymore since any device with a web-browser would be sufficient. Look at the kind of browser-based applications that Google makes these days. You can do lots of fun things with javascript in a browser. Combine this with so-called AJAX technology, basically meaning you import data from servers without refreshing the whole thing all the time, and you are on your way to a browser-based-BBO. It will still be a lot of work though, I would not be able to do it alone. My guess is they would need about 5 man-years. Hey, maybe Google is interested.
  4. The MYHANDS page gives a nice overview, and traveller scores. Finding files on the computer is a much more chaotic procedure.
  5. The VuGraph records are much more fun for me WITH comments. They can be found at http://bridgebase04.bridgebase.com:81/vug/?C=M;O=D you get there in BBO via Lobby -- Explore Bridge -- Library -- Vugraph archives -- All recent broadcasts (a little too hard to find!). Unfortunately if you downlaod and try to play back, things are garbled, missing hands, incomplete things, comments from other tables. Such a shame, a record of VuGraph with the excellent and fun comments from commentators like brolucius would be a joy to have.
  6. Anwer provided by inquiry, in another thread: here requires a little hacking of the .lin file. Great for peeps who prefer 1-player kibitz mode, now also available offline for saved matches.
  7. Great, I just knew something like that was possible, thank you!
  8. Turns out you CAN watch only ONE player: edit your profile by right-clicking on your username (to be found when you hover the mouse over the table rose) and then rightclick and then "Edit Profile". Hard to find, but oh well. However, this does not work when watching saved matches, since i can not get to the "Edit Profile" thing. I would love to watch saved matches in kibitzer mode, watching only 1 player and dummy. How to do this?
  9. OK great, now I can kibitz during play. But what about saved matches? I would like to kibitz a saved match too...via "Open Bridge Match from you Computer". Then I can not find where to edit my "user profile".
  10. For the vugraph: Could you change the interface so we can spectate ONE player? And the dummy when it appears. For me that is more fun than watching all four hands...
  11. First of all, the BBO vugraph is great and the comments by people like brolucius are good fun! Unfortunately, we always have to watch all four hands. I would like to spectate only my favorite player, and the dummy when it appears. Can't do this now, can I? Should not be sooo difficult to implement, and there is a real need of it during the BB!
