  1. I don't think pard will have a lot of Spades, since s/he could bid 3S, also, I don't think 4N is to play, since you play IMP, 500 is more secure scores. I would bid 6D, but Ronald's suggestion is very nice. 5H will be a very good bidding.
  2. I will bid 4D after 3S if I want to bid, If I bid dbl, I will pass 4H....
  3. I mean, make sure that your pard know that preempt does not assume any defense trick...
  4. I think Kenberg is right. The problem may be not who is right or who is wrong (although I think your pard shouldn't double with his hand). You and your pard sould negotiate about the preempt style, what kind of hand should be expected when preempt. Make sure this, or later you will find more problem with hands like this.
  5. if 4C is Splinter, should 3S be a Splinter, too? if play NFB, I would like to bid 4C as a Splinter too.
  6. Actually, if I recall correctly, it was invented to solve another problem: avoid the 3-3 fit in case responder had only 3 cards in the major! What??? Where do you get this stuff :P Thanks for the answers guys. From what I heard, support Double is invented by Rodwell. So...maybe it really just want to avoid 3-3 trump.... :)
  7. How do you think about support double? Do you think it is a weapon in competitive bidding? I was arguing with my pard with this progress. Pard Right Me Left 1C PASS 1H 2S DBL?? My pard think if there is a preempt bidding, double shows powers, not fit. So, she want play support through 2H. But I think it's still a support double. How do you think about this?
  8. I also see a link about raptor raptor 1N the different about these two is while 1N overcall a minor, bid M is Natural, constructive, it's something like (1D)2C(P)2H; and cue-bid can be weak hand, overcaller shows his major, and will be passed. so the problem of http://biomass.to/mycroft/bridge/Raptor1NT.html simply be solved,
  9. thanks for replies, look forward the follow-up :D another question, is Raptor a Brown sticker convention?
  10. my first post here :D I heard a convention called Poland 1N overcall(in chinese), (1♣)1N means 5+D with a 4 cards major,8-15 HCP (1♦)1N means 5+C with a 4 cards major,8-15 HCP (1♥)1N means 4 cards ♠ with a 5+ m, 8-15HCP (1♠)1N means 4 cards ♥ with a 5+ m, 8-15HCP do any one have idea about the complete convention, and how to against it? thanks a lot
