E led ♦Ace and continued with ♦King and ♦Jack, N was trying to set up ♥s, but E took ♥9 in 3rd round ♥, and played his last two ♦s to set the contract. The result was 3NN-2 In a private club tourney, N-S called director after the board was played. E-W both psyched/bid partners' longest suit. East admitted to psyche occasionally, but West had never psyched. This pair is regular partnership. How would you penalised this pair?
  2. some clarifications: 1. E-W is pick-up partnership, N-S is regular one. 2. nature of complaint: any UI during the auction? 3. No reason was given by the TDs (there were three TDs btw). 4. East complained again after the adjustment. If there were UI and damage, the adjusted contract should not be doubled. Otherwise, the result 5DX+1 should stand and no adjustment needed. 5DX= was unjust.

East 4♠ South 5♦ and Doubled by East Final result is 5DX+1 East called TD right after Dummy is shown. TD adjusted it to 5DX= which imho I can never agree with him. How would you rule? Thanks in advance! Rex
  4. Hi, I have moved back to HK, and am looking for a regular 2/1 partner to practice, play club games and open pairs in the future. I am an Int+ player. I started playing contract bridge in college (about 5 years ago). However, I had quitted due to heavy school worklord for about 2 years until I picked it up again last August. I prefer 2 over 1, but I have learned a bit about strong club systems, such as blue club and precision. I can play most conventions, and always love to learn more about the practical ones. Please leave me a message on BBO (same user name) or email rwylee@gmail.com Thank you!
  5. Thank you for sharing. BTW, it's no fun for both player and the single TD in a 40+ tables tourney. I wonder why you want to host such huge tournament. Are you looking for inspiration for new episodes?
  6. I always exclude a list of players in the tourneys I created, and that is the only restriction of my tourney. However, I found some excluded players are still able to sign up my tourneys. It is getting irritating as I need to remove them right after the tourneys start or tell their partner to withdraw and pair up with another player prior to the start. Can it be fixed? Thanks!
  7. I have done the same thing like 5+ times, three were club tournaments (same TD), some were missing TDs and playing TD with over 30 tables. I usually try to help whenever I am available, and when a yellow is online and able to reply. One time when I asked help, a yellow (not vugraphxx) told me he/she only takes care of vugraph issues and has no power over that. Other yellows were on BRB and kibbing tables. Hmm... please let us know who has the power and would handle that. I wont bother the rest, or just stay away from it. We need both quality players and TDs to run a smooth tourney.

South called me after they finished that board. He said it is deceptive to explain as UNNT here. They assumed West did not have ♦, therefore they kept attacking ♦. But North led ♥A and switched to ♦, and N-S would definitely set 2NT if they played ♠ or ♥ from south after ♣A. How would you adjust or punish E-W? Thanks in advance! Rex
  9. I think after you choose English as the language, then click APPLY, it will be okay. BTW, I know there is someone who can provide Traditional Chinese Edition of BBO, I cannot remember his name though, he is from Taiwan. BTW, I think BBO is hate-free zone, please do not call other language rubbish only because you cannot read it, thanks!
  10. Hi, I am wondering if this is possible to have every player's quit rate in their profiles? Then, TD could have set restriction like excluding players who have higher than 25% quit rate. Some players may have only played a few, so it is better to show how many tourney/TM they have played, then someone who played only 2 tourneys and disconnected once would not be considered as a regular quitter. I hope it helps to create smoother tourneys for TDs and players!
  11. Hi Paul, I tried checking and unchecking that option when I created new tour (I know we cant change it during tour), but the player said it is the same, he still sees everything... Thanks anyway :) Rex
  12. Hi, one player keeps complaining to me that he and his partner always see all four hands when they are dummy (and assuming all people do), I am not sure if it is something TD can set when we create tourney? I asked other TDs and they have no idea about that. Anyone knows how to fix this setting? Thanks!

S reported to me that he found suspicious of the pass by E and W. He even said they might chat on MSN. I reviewed the board a few times and found no evidence of cheating. Otherwise, the contract would be down two or more. Therfore, the result stand. Even though the pass seemed a bit odd, I think it was acceptable. However, after I had explained to S, he still insisted that I should do further investigation and report to abuse. I am just wondering how you interpret the pass and how you comfort and explain to players like S? Thanks in advnace!
