The problem is that the team match section of your tourney has to supply exactly 2 teams (aka a head to head match) If there were 3 teams wanting to participate (aka: a three-way match)I would have no choice but to have 1 team sit out and have the other two play for one round(ie: only two teams of the three would be able to play at the same time) and round one would take too long. I have to get all three teams to play at the same time. My setup in order to accomplish this would be as follows: (assume that all the people with a starting pair number of one are all in team one...etc) Setting One(aka: round 1) Table(also N/S pair number),E/W pair number,Board set 1,3,2 2,1,3 3,2,1 Setting Two(aka: round 2) (pairs up 1 boards down 1) 1,2,3 2,3,1 3,1,2 This will pose the following resualts when played out(scoring method like that of a team game): 1v2 would be compared on Board set 3 1v3 would be compared on Board set 2 2v3 would be compared on Board set 1 Using this method, a 3-way match will take the same amount of time as two head to head matches would take. Using this logic, we can accomodate as many teams as needed(except for exactly 5 teams or exactly 17 teams, where a 5-way match is needed) Checking acblscore, the following progression works for a 5-way match: (this takes 4 rounds to complete) Round 1 1,3,2 2,4,3 3,5,4 4,1,5 5,2,1 Round 2 (pairs down 2 boards down 1,for every round change) 1,5,3 2,1,4 3,2,5 4,3,1 5,4,2 ...etc Like up above, each match can be compared on one specifc board set, for example 2v4 as well as 1v5 can be compared on board set 3 For this reason, I still think I have to use the teaching tables in order to run this type of tourney correctly(with the execption of having 2,4,or 8 teams). Is it possible for me to try this type of tourney out by logging more than one username from the same pc?
