You can make lorand's program make its own system. If you start with a blank or almost blank NN and make it bid some hands and then use this as input for the next NN etc repeat. The only slight problem is for some reason I don't understand if the NN is almost non existent you get auctions like 5!s 6!c 7NT dbl redbl. It almost always starts at the the 5 level. Anyway I tried adding a only a few hands and retraining and currently it opens 4 card majors and doesn't really understand 1NT. Anyway I plan to keep adding and training and see if it goes anywhere. My guess is it will be mostly natural bidding as for all it knows the bidding might stop any minute. I also can't really see how it can evolve into anything complicated as unlike evolving the eye where any small amount of light you can detect helps bidding one half of stayman is not that great if pard responds 3!d meaning its friday or something. I might try fiddling a bit with the basic NN and bid picker to see if I can get it to make lower opening bids in some way but it is probably beyond my ability.

Nah doesn't work with the BBo version I have a feeling I threw my gib cd away when I got jack. Oh well was just a thought as a quick way to generate boards with admittedly not brilliant bidding.

Does anyone still have the GIB system files from when it was GIB. It used to have SAYC and moscito byte at the very least and may have had acol and precision. And do they work with the BBO GIB from the old client, not on BBO I mean standalone? I may still have my copy in the Loft somewhere but finding it might be hard.

currently I advocate just passing with no 5 card major. Bidding 2c or 2d with 5. We used to play transfers when they were allowed and so we could open 1!s with 4 diamonds no major with 1NT as nat and 2!c as the relay. With 4 clubs and balanced partner liked the pass I tried to add 3334 to 1!s.

We always shoe horn a 14-16 NT into our moscito. This takes some balanced hands out of 1C which is good and 1NT is always good. Hand 2 was fine,

If you took 4 Gorillas and taught them bridge I expect opening 3NT every hand would end up being the best system. I don't think bot AI is ready for this challenge. Make one playing any system you like that can beat say the Dutch team over 100+ boards and you can start testing systems.

Maybe set up a club. Then anytime anyone wants to play precision with other precision people they can. That is what the Acol people did.

jack is good enough unless you are a top international in my opinion. Unless you play forcing pass or similar. Qplus is also good enough but not as good as jack but maybe plays a bit more human like guessing what jacks dbls mean is a bit hard sometimes. wbridge is also good enough if you are french and can stand its insane stayman.

It isn't even a sensible auction. At least make it a real auction like 1NT 3NT. And can anyone who speaks french explain what the hell scoring system they are using. Its not imps point a board or total points. ok it looks like the crazy scoring system is tricks won as declarer. So this isn't really bridge either in the auction or the scoring, just the play where the hand is known to within very small limits as it opened 1NT. It would be interesting to see how jack does at this I would expect it to beat the humans as well.

does the host have immunity from being kicked now? I am sat at a table where the host has been inactive for 10 minutes without being kicked or having the permissions set to permission required to play.

Seems it was just a browser problem switch to firefox and they reappeared I'll see if they work now but problem probably solved.

Been away for a while. In this new version how do I make a convention card? I press the convention card tab and press make a new acbl convention card and nothing happens. All my old cards have disappeared and ther are no stock convention cards in the stock convention cards boxes.
