  1. Firefox 82.0.3 (64-bit) on Linux Mint, though I cannot see why the operating system would make a difference.
  2. That sort of makes sense, thanks; I'll amend my original post.
  3. I'm using a web browser (Firefox) Suppose I save a hand and then use it in "Play a Bidding Table" Practice -> Start a Bidding Table -> Start Table and arrange to have manual bidding for at least one hand The display of bidding obscures the panel that lets me bid and by the time we reach the '4' level the '4' isn't visible and I can't select it
  4. If I go select a hand from History and export it History (tab) -> Recent Tournaments -> select a hand -> blue lozenge with white stripes -> Export -> Save deal as I'm invited to name the deal (Title) and then select a folder to save the hand What does the software do with these names, and can the folder of named deals be displayed?
  5. If I go select a hand from History and export it History (tab) -> Recent Tournaments -> select a hand -> blue lozenge with white stripes -> Export -> Save deal as I'm invited to name the deal (Title) and then I press the + next to My Favourite Hands to create a new folder. The new folder is called "Untitled Folder" but there is an icon of a pencil which is clearly an invitation to rename the folder. Unfortunately the window closes if I select it.
  6. Is this the correct place to report bugs (or maybe you don't want bug-reports)? This works perfectly ... History (tab) -> Recent Tournaments -> select a tournament -> select a hand but this behaves strangely History (tab) -> Recent Hands -> select a hand It seems to me that if I select the first hand in a tournament then the software selects the last hand and vice-versa. Edit: pescetom has explained that this isn't considered a bug. The hands are in numbered in reverse order so number one is the last hand to be played.
  7. Thank you to all the people who replied. I worked out how to ask two robots to bid the hands and given a free choice, West chose to bid 2♦ instead of 2♣ so the sequence went 1♠-2♦-3♦-3NT-5♦-6♦ but if I insisted West responded 2♣ they still found the slam with 1♠-2♣-2♦-3♦-5♦-6♦. I think one of my problems is an over-willingness to play in NT with a hope of an over-trick than 5 of a minor but, as has been pointed out, I never showed my diamond support.
  8. Thank you for replying, and you're right. Encouraged by your remarks I persisted and realised that it really was working as it should, I was being misled by a few bugs.
  9. I'm moderately competent at UK's Benji-Acol but Bobbi the robot insists on playing American 2/1, it's the only system she knows. How should we have bid this hand? A slam is easy. 10. I'm from the UK and moderately competent in Benji-Acol but I am having to learn American 2/1 to play with a robot. Sometimes we do well, but other times I find that any of my possible bids give the wrong information to Bobbi and she over-bids. Clearly I went wrong somewhere and have painted myself into a corner. What I would like to do is go through the hands I've bid badly and present the hands to a robot pair to see how they would have bid them (there is no point in looking at how other pairs bid the hand because they used a UK system). Is this possible? I'm guessing that a good start would be to make a collection of these hands but even that proved impossible. I'm using a web-browser (Firefox) and I go to my history and select a hand. The blue square with three white lines in the top-right-corner gives me the option of 'export' so I select that. Of the next options 'Save deal as' seems sensible and takes me to a something that looks promising. I give a name to the deal and below is "Select a Folder". I click on '+' to create a new folder which comes up as "Untitled Folder". I click on the pencil to change its name and the window closes. Return to Go, do not collect £200 and this time I click on "Untitled Folder" to save the deal there and the window closes. I assume that my hand has been saved in that folder (crosses fingers). Next task is to present this hand to a robot pair so I try 'Practice' and 'Start a Bidding Table' and 'Start Table'. The blue lozenge offer me 'Deal Source' so I select that and then "Use saved deals' but I can't get it display the hand I thought I had saved earlier. I'm doing something wrong. Should this have worked, is there a way of doing what I want, and where did I go wrong in my attempt? Thank, David
