it's 4nt when you hold 5=0=4=4,why u cuebid 5♥? 1♠---4♥---dbl---p 5♠/5♥/4nt/5♣ there are many different meaning,especially 4nt then 5♦. 5♥ is a cuebid to tell partner:the trump is ♠ and my ♥ has been controlled by me. so ,6♦ is inviting for grand slam without ♣ Ace.

To show the whole ! i learned to hate whichever 2♦ or 2♥, i like 3♥ if it's natural bidding, i accept 3♠ with a little reluctant, i vote the artifactual 2nt .

i will bid 5♣. but the reason is to show my valuable hand--otherwise i will transfer this t/o double to punish. partner shows his great hand with 18hcpS+, if he has some honor on ♦ and between 17-18hcps,he tend to overcall 1nt even if 4=4=4=1,of course maybe 4=4=3=2 . i will believe opps 4♦ preemption and partner's choice,with a viod and 21 valuable HCPS and 9cards trump ,5♣ has chance. if i bid 4♠ i never shows my valuable hand.,and it maybe lose slam ---of course it isn't the focus but has some help to analyse. regards

An offensive preemption has 1 defensive honor commonly,it's miracle when he has 2 or more. i recommend 1♥ opening and to preempt 3♥ when locates on the 3rd position. regards

if he is a limit hand between 1~2HCPs,an insignificant cuebid iteration shows the strength of the focal suit,maybe side ,maybe trump. if he is a limit hand with 3~4hcps elasticity,an insignificant cuebid iteration shows the upper limit. if he is an infinite hand,repeat cuebid shows nothing, waiting for something only.

Well, its a bit strange to bid 1N and not 2D (or whatever shows diamonds) with that hand.... On the other hand this sequence is just strange. The Hand I would expect is: xx Kxx AKxx xxxx Actually its probably equally likely that this player messed up his first 2 bids and is actually 4414 :) why does it need ♦ AK?could it be KQ?

it's clear to me: a bid seeking for slam is NOT an natural bidding found on logic,it is advanced cuebid.

reply 2nd question: 3♦ is forcing,but i don't think it will force to a game. anyway,i suggest a cooperation double is better than pass in spite of forcing or not.the hand is very good to defend,and it's NOT a good hand to offend unless a ♣ contract.The 3♦ bidder has the most possibility to hold a 3262 shape,even if 2263, we have difficulty to bid 5♣

In another post i had indicated that pulling out (to N level) ONLY when u hold a hand with N+1 offensive tricks. In this case it need 6trics to bid 5♥. pass for lack now,pls.
